I have had this car a little over a year now. I love it. I received a $1200 tax rebate from the government for purchasing the hybrid, which helps makes up the extra $2000 I paid for the hybrid. This car rides great with lots of power and quick acceleration. I have gotten as high 37 mph on the highway, but that was exceptional. Typically get around 34 or 35 on highway. Overall with a fair amount of city driving I get around 30 mpg. Only complaints are the road noise while driving is a little too much, and the back seats don't fold down with pass through which means no room for ski's :(. I've had this car a little over 2 months, and I've gotten good results so far-- about 24 city/34hwy. To bemoaners, a couple things you must consider: 1) it's a V6, it's never going to give you the economy numbers of the 4 cyl. 2) not all hybrid buyers are going on economy alone -- emissions reductions are also important. and finally 3) To the resale complaintant-- why did you ever feel like buying a car to resell quickly was a good move in the first place? (Let's talk economics and researching supply/demand sometime.)

Overall, I paid 2.5% below invoice on this car, so it basically gave me a luxury version for the price range of the entry level versions. I've been happy with it. The fuel cap message (not isolated to this model) scared the pants off of me the first time, but I researched and realized I just need to make sure I use the 6-click rule when tightening the cap.

I plan to re-evaluate how I feel in a year....read morehide

After break-in, put some Motor-Latte synth. treatment into the oil and watch your mileage increase, esp. in town ( + 2-3 more mpg ).

The price paid for this car is the main determing factor in my overall satisfaction. For the people who paid full retail or nearly full retail price, I can see why they are disappointed. This car is not worth $30650+ttl. I bought a new 05 HAH in Mar 06, so I paid 6.5k less before ttl. I feel like I got a hybrid discount. There was an additional $650 tax credit from the government. For me the car has everything that the regular 05 Accord EX V6 has but it has more power and gets better mileage. The only thing I miss is not having a spare, no moonroof, and my model does not have GPS. Otherwise this is a great car and a great value for me. It has power everything. After driving it for nearly 2 years, I am getting about 22 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. This is an ideal car for highway driving.

I am disappointed that the car has been discontinued. Maybe they will bring back the Accord Hybrid with a 4 cyl to better compete with the Camry....read morehide

I just purchased my new Accord Hybrid last week. I love the car. I traveled back to my home town last weekend, which was 200 miles. I kept it on ECO for the whole trip at 72 MPH. I averaged 37.2 MPG. I could not be happier. I am now over the break-in period and truely tested the acceleration on the way to work today and was blown away. Awesome vehicle!!!!!! i have gotten has high as 42Hwy/32City. Great looking car, and the comfort is outragous. Best vehicle I ever bought hands down. Honda did it right this Hybrid, I like 100 times better than the Civic Hybrid......

I'll never buy a Honda again. I actually liked the car-thought it drove well and was impressed by the quality of the vehicle. I paid $3,000 more for the Hybrid version and when I tried to sell it a year later it sold for LESS that the gas Accord. I have always heard that Hondas retained their value-with Hybrids DON'T Believe it! I took a bath on this car. No one wants them. Maybe if gas goes above $4 they will be popular again. Way too many warranty issues and service at local dealer is deplorable.

While I am glad I bought the Hybrid, Honda has a lot of work to do on getting this vehicle to the public without all of the warranty issues. I have had mine in three times and still have one outstanding issue to be resolved. The notorious clunk in the drive train is accurate and my local dealer has no idea what it is or how to fix it. The service department at Honda is no where near the professional environment they have at the sister company, Acura. I've had three Acura's before the Hybrid and they were almost problem free and when you did visit a dealer, you were taken care of. I thought the gas mileage would be better then it is but I drive from NH to PA to visit my kids and I used to have to get gas on the way, now I have 1/3 tank when I get there. That's good! I like the idea of driving a Hybrid and if people keep buying them they will get better and better.

I leased mine so in 36 months I can decide to return it or buy it depending on its value at that time. Also that way if I don't want to I never have to drive it out of warranty or worry about the batteries...read morehide

Bought my 2006 hybrid in September of 2006. It has everything but the navigation system. I do as much highway driving as local. My average is 28 mpg. Perhaps warmer weather will bring higher mpg. Had good luck with another Accord before this and only bought a hybrid because I thought it was helping the environment.
