Purchased As New
I only had the car a couple of months before i started noticing that the seat foam was becoming exposed in the back of the driver & passanger seats . Upon closer inspection i noticed the hooks were plastic & stitched to the seat cover. The problem with this is the stitching now weakend the plastic hooks by perforating them & snaping off one by one . Now it looks really bad ....read morehide

At 11,000 miles I had to take my accord in for a rotational noise coming from the engine. Two rental cars later and about 4 new belts and new water pump, the noise is finaly gone. Also lots of little noises coming from interior when on the road.

I got tired of reading incoherent reviews, so I thought I'd put in one of my own. Just purchased an '07 Accord EX-L V6, and was given what I thought was a very resonable offer since they are motivated to make room on the lot for '08's. It's a beautiful car and I love the V6; I drive about 35K miles per year, so I'm hoping the claim of 29 mpg on the highway proves to be true. Also took a test drive of the '08 Nissan Altima 2.5S and the '08 Toyota Camry LE but wasn't crazy about either of them - the Nissan had a nice ride but the interior cabin parts seemed very cheap, and the Camry's engine was weak (granted, it was the V4, but still...) and they wanted over 20K. Got the Honda for just over 22K....read morehide

I was a bit skeptical at first purchasing a honda. Growing up I"ve always owned Toyotas. Since my roommates are Honda fans they somehow influenced me to get a Honda Accord after my faithful 91' Toyota Corolla died on me with 216,000miles on it. I had thought of getting a Camary at first but after some research and price comparisons I decided to go for the Accord. i purchased my Accord last Febuary and I have been happy ever since!!! I find the interior of the Accord was not as low quality looking as the Camary's. Even though the Camary cost less than the Accord..at the end it would of cost me more for the extra options in which were standard in the SE Accord. The ride was not as smooth as the Camary's, however; being able to feel the road made it feel a bit sportier. True, the brakes were very sensitive but it was not a big deal since I got use to it. Even though it had terrible pick up speed, once it got going, it moved fast. Since I am such a big japanese car fan I made sure that my Accord was built in Japan. I've gone to several dealership to find an Accord that had Japan everything including where it was built since not all Accords are made in Japan anymore. Over all, I can't say I have any complaints. I'm happy with my purchase. Just wished that my old faithful Corolla didn't die on me till 08" I'm really liking the 08" and am seriously considering of trading in my car next year....read morehide

I have had this car for 6 months and I'm already wishing I hadn't bought it. I've already had to take it to the dealership twice to have the brakes checked due to a rubbing or grinding noise--once at 6200 miles, once at 6500 miles. I have had multiple cars with 100,000+ miles that didn't make noises when braking (with routine maintenance); Honda service dept told me not to be concerned about the noise that a little grinding was "normal". However they did replace the front brake pads and machined the front rotors under warranty. I also bought the "carbon-bronze pearl" color thinking that it wouldn't look dirty too quickly--however the car looks like it needs to be washed every 2 days with normal city driving....read morehide

I have owned my Accord SE for six months now and am very happy with it. The car ride is sound, the gas mileage is good and Honda maintains it

GPS should be standard and doorlocks should be standard on all models. Overall, lots of kudos to Honda Crew for the reliability and toughness and frontal safety of the Honda. Can you imagine if the Honda had safety like the Audi?? We took ours from Vegas to Waco, Texas...stopping only for bathroom and gas and the cops who ambushed us at 11 pm in Texas and it was exhilarating.
I stiil believe little things like stereo controls on the Wheel should be standard.
Keep up the great work!!!...read morehide

This is my first Honda and I must say its a step up from the ford focus I traded it in for. I love it, it handles preety good in the snow. I've had it for a year and a half 31K on it so far and nothing but standard oil changes. So far I'm happy, I would recommend to others if they are looking for a safe vehicle....read morehide

PROTECTING THE FAMILY IS A HIGH PRIORITY AFTER SEEING THE OLD ACCORD HIT FROM THE REAR AND NOT SEEING ANY VISIBLE DAMAGE LOOKING AT THE TRUCK THAT RAN INTO AND THINKING HMMM! THE FOAM CUSHION UNDER THE BUMPER HAD TO BE REPLACED BUT THAT POOR TRUCK LOOK LIKE MY TYSON HIT IT IN THE BUMPER AND GRILL. THE YOUNG MIKE NOT THE OLD FALL GUY. BLESS HIS HEART!...read morehide

I've owned this car for about 6 months now. I knew when I bought it that the seats and suspension were a bit firmer than what I was used to but thought I could get used to it. Got the car for a very good price. I wasn't even considering buying an Accord because they were initially too pricey but when they decided to cut the price another 2K at the end of the model year, I couldn't pass on the deal. The engine has more acceleration than you might think from a 166 hp 4 cyl, I think because it is mated with a 5 speed tranny. Many of the competitors only used a 4 speed. Gas mileage is pretty good, averaging almost 28 mpg with about a 50/50 city/hwy driving. The car handles very well and the 4 wheel disc brakes work great, although new drivers might find them too touchy and sharp. But, you should get used to them after a while. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get used to the firmer seats (I sit on a pillow) and the driving position is uncomfortable. It could use more front leg room (for the driver). I have a 29" leg and I like to stretch them out when I drive but I can't get the seat to go back far enough to do that. The ultra firm suspension makes me feel more like I am driving a go-cart, compared to other mid-sized cars I have driven over the years. I feel every little crack in the road and the larger bumps and potholes can really knock your fillings loose. It's enough of an issue for me that, even though the cars has many good qualities, I don't like it enough to keep it and am seriously considering selling and buying something a little softer riding....read morehide
