Purchased As Used
I found this EX with 15k miles at a great price for my wife. I am so jealous that it isn't mine! Contrary to other reviewers I have found virtually nothing wrong with this car. It is a sub compact as road noise is common, but it is only subtle. The engine growls somewhat similar to a sports car. Otherwise, this car kicks butt! The handling is excellent, the ride is comfortable, acceleration is acceptable and it looks amazing. Haven't tried the stereo yet because I can't get it to accept the security code but I'm sure it will sound great....read morehide

I purchased an 07 civic and I have no problems with it so far.. the navigation is awesome love it. The mpg economy is very good to tell you one time I drove to san diego from los angeles with $25.00 went and came back, the drive was great! I have read alot of bad comments about the accelaration? (ofcourse its an 1.8L not a 3.5L if you want a car to have a faster acceleration than I suggest you get a V6 3.5L ..... and due to his 1.8L engine, car is fast enough)... I have no complaints on this car!!! I just love my civic!!...read morehide

i just bought a civic 2.0L last month n i expect it to be a great car to drive as it is equipped with the highly acclaimed i-vtec engine. when i cruise along the city road with speed ranging between 50 - 80 kmh, the rpm keep shifting up n down - really not smooth drive.

I purchased this certified pre-owned vehicle two weeks ago with less than 1,500 miles on and am quite satisfied. On a recent trip with mixed city and highway driving we averaged 40+ miles a gallon with which we are really pleased. It is surprisingly roomy inside for such a small car. My husband(6 ft.) and myself(5 ft. 8) fit in quite well. It handles nicely, especially so in turning corners. It has a low center of gravity which we like. While this is certainly not a luxury car or SUV, we feel comfortable and safe with the six standard airbags and ABS. The two level dashboard tachometer and speedometer make it easier to keep an eye on the road and give it a style you really do not see in an econobox. The trunk space is similar to that of a Honda Accord. It also gives you an environmentally friendly feeling with the ultra-low emissions and decent green rating. The lines of the car are quite appealing being clean and sleek with no ugly boxy corners. We have not taken the car on a long trip but feel it would perform decently and be fairly comfortable....read morehide

Purchased my Honda Civic EX w/ Navigation in October of 2007. The first night of ownership the A/C stopped blowing cold air. Three visits to the dealership, problem was not fixed. The civic often fails to start, also has not been fixed. My vehicle has been at the local Honda dealership about eight times in the last five months. My windshield has been replaced, due to over spray, the hood and a rim is next. I have an "open case" with Honda, but anyone who has had a complaint with Honda knows, once they get your money, your done. My phone calls are not returned and corporate Honda is ridiculously pathetic. Everyone in my family drives varying new Toyota models, their customer service is outstanding....read morehide

I traded in my Fusion for a 06 Civic with 17,000 miles on it. After 1,000 miles my breaks were completely worn, apparently the previous owners had been very disrespectful and careless with the car. The dealer fixed the problem for free and not the $270 initial charge.
I love the looks of the car. You've heard all the other good things. When I researched this vehicle I read it was peppy which is not. It is a bit sluggish, I'm sure the SI does better. Its an alright driver for the price.
The handling and braking are superb. The fuel econ is good. These cars are selling like hot cakes. In Valencia they are marked up $950 and why not, if people are foolish enough to overpay.
My advice, try for an Accord to get more juice from the V-Tec engine. The most IMPORTANT thing nobody will tell you is the road noise. You can hear everything coming through the floor of this car. At first my wife was alarmed when we hit a puddle. You get used to it, but you do hear the road nice and clear. I am going to try thicker carpets to see if it insulates it better....read morehide

08 EX auto sedan, NAVI, made in Ontario. Pleasantly surprised re mpg after reading all the gloomy reports, perhaps I'm just lucky so far. Got 32 mpg commuting to work (30 mi R/T, combo of Interstate, back roads, 35 mph zones); got an astounding 40/42 mpg on a 320 mile road trip, mostly Interstate, incl a traffic jam 10 mi. long. EPA sticker says 25/35. Auto trans is smooth but shifts a lot.
Driver seat is not well padded. You CANNOT install a sock-type seat cover on the buckets due to air bag deployment issue in the seat back. The drivers cloth seat bottom will wear thin in no time. It needs to be protected with some type of cover that will not interfere with bag deployment. The NAVI system rocks and is better than thought, very accurate but complicated to learn initially. The XM radio works flawlessly. Sound system is very good.
Road noise is not bad, barely noticeable, not much different from my Accord EXL. No squeaks or annoying noises so far. Trunk has no keyhole! Must use key or lever by seat only. Strange cost-cutting move. Glove box has no lockable keyhole either...cheapo.
All in all, its not an Accord EXL, but still has excellent quality, reliability and good mileage for $3 gas....read morehide

I noticed after having the car for a few months that in very low rpms, in traffic, drive thru, etc, that the car would shake making you feather the clutch the whole time. Come to find out after taking it to the dealership it is due to the drive-to-wire throttle body. I owned a 99 eclipse before that and as a used car with over 100,000 miles on it, it performed better in low rpms. The throttle response isn't anything near what i expected....read morehide
