This is my first Jeep vehicle. I enjoy the powerful engine, it's quite roomy to haul my nephews around and I love the roomy trunk area. The gas mileage isn't great but it is an SUV and I knew that going into the purchase. I drive mostly in the city right now so I know that is a major gas drain. its not bad on gas I get good gas mileage.

when I have my liberty in 4wheel drive it makes a grinding noise.

This is my second liberty and im still having problems with it I would not buy another one.

Nothing but proplems with 2005 Liberty. Chrystler does not support fixing them. Beware if you are looking at buying one. I've had nothing but problems. I've spent over $3000 FIXING THEM AND IT'S ONLY GOT 48,000 MILES ON IT.

I have to clear some things up the ratings here are a little rough on the Liberty. I have to say to those people they should have done some research before they bought this vehicle. First off the ride is going to be rougher than other SUV's in its class because it was made on a truck frame and it was not a unibody frame. Second it was made for off road use so the suspension is set up for that more so than just trips around town. Third just an observation for people that have had issues with there dealers fixing warranty items try another Jeep dealership to get a second opinion. We have now had our Liberty for 3 months now and have put more than close to 4000 miles on it and have no major problems. Of course we did some research before we bought it and understood some of the downfalls. I will say that we enjoy this vehicle and if you want comfort and ride for around town buy something else if you want something with off-road capability buy the Jeep....read morehide

I ride a 2007 Liberty HIGH ROOF CRD automatic, good with full and great torque

Cant change the Front lights yourself,need a garage to do it for you

I have my engine tuned,and that makes it the best ride ever.
Jeep must tune there engines by Default.
I have more then 200Hp and 470Nm now,and a totaly diggerent Jeep in performance.
A must do for all CRD riders.

Good fuel economy for a small SUV, the back storage area is pretty spacious, cute, sporty look!

When i accelerate, sometimes it feels as if the car is lunging just a bit, however, the dealer checked it out, and there seems to be no problem. We like the drink holders in the door, and the a/c and heater vent at the back of the console for the back seat passengers. A very sporty and reliable car for our family of 3 girls! Ride is too rough, electrical problems, air conditioner stayes torn up

Where to start...I've had other SUV's and none have ever rode as rough as the Liberty. I had not had it but 5 months and had electrical problems that left me stranded 4 times. The compressor has been out in the air conditioner twice. Very aggravating when I'm making my monthly payments and it's 100 degress outside and I have no air. Drivers side window keeps coming out of the track. A cable broke in the back window and it fell shattering everywhere. Many people have been turned against Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep since my experiences. I will never have another and can't wait until the day I can trade it in....read morehide

21 mpg,city/25 highway,that's not bad.

No complaints.

The ride is very nice. Your mileage depends on how you drive it. I get good mileage + it coasts forever. I traded a "Wrangler" for this, and I like it very well. Plus the cargo space is great with the fold down rear seats. I'm glad I traded, it's was worth it. KPA

horrible on gas, bad break rotors, transmision is bad at middle end

i have a 06. its a good suv, it sits low to the ground so that might be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the type of car ur looking for. easy to mod- air intake, throttle body spacer, performance spark plugs, oem oil filter at a total of 900$ makes this suv have a 0-60 in less then 6 sec and sound great without a muffler or exhaust. its great for 4x4 and more. fuel economy is this cars greatest weakness. u get about 10 mpg not the 17 shown there. the auto transmission has a fast 1-2 gear ratio but slow 3-4 and has a nice top gear. it has a weak limited slip differential but it still has one making it nice for performance. i wish it was DOHC then it would be a great car for performance. in conclusion its a surprisingly good car at wat its meant to be but gas is a big issue, throttle body helps fuel economy greatly....read morehide

Hardest Seats in the World.

Overall....Jeeps are a great truck to own. The commercial for the 08 Liberty says it has more comfortable seats. I am glad they listen to Jeep Owners.
