Purchased As New
We now have 25,000 on our Rondo and still happy with it. Fist thing we did was take it on vacation in the New Mexico mountains and were very happy with performance.
mileage is where it said 28-29 mpg.

We were expecting our first child but didn't want to fully commit to the mini-van lifestyle. So we focused on the crossovers. We were first looking at the Nissan Rogue and enjoyed it fine on the test drive but not in the office when we were getting a price quote. The Honda CRV just felt tossed together and had no pep at all. We weren't even really thinking of Kia but decided to drop in on a whim. And I instantly fell in love with it.
The V6 has plenty of power, especially after driving economy commuters. Has cool nooks and crannies everywhere to stow stuff, like a pocket on the driver's side I use for my cell phone. It seats 7 but for some reason has 10 cup holders, I still haven't figured that one out.
The only thing I wish it had was audio-in standard (which I think they did for the 08s). I have to use an FM modulator right now....read morehide

We had bought a used 03 Sedona and had it for one year. We loved it but the gas mileage was killing us. 12-16 MPG.!
So we went back to KIA in MEDINA OHIO.. they are the absolute BEST BTW. traded in the van and got a RONDO.
We test drove it and it felt great, We have an elderly grandma so it had to be easy to get her in and out.. the backseat has ALOT OF room. and the seat height isnt too low or high, perfect. We have ahd the ROndo for about 6 weeks. We have been donw to visit family 300+ miles each way. Was GREAT ! Then had to go to a funeral deep south WV, near KY and VA line.. BIG MNTS down there... and we never had a problem... MY husband LOVEs it !
He even took it all the way up the the top of mountain to visit an OLD family cemetery, dirt roads , rocks, it went right up without hesitation. Oh, and we went in that horrible snow storm we just had a couple weeks ago!
We love the vehicle !We have over 3K miles on it already and HWY miles were about 30-36 MPG... depending. City we get about 25 or so. Way better then the Sedona!...read morehide

I LOVED my Rondo until I drove it on icy roads while it was windy. It handled the snow like a champ, but drove like it was on Jell-O when driving in wind on slick roads. It came very well equipped for a very reasonable price. The only complaint I had was that the 3rd row seat was only acceptable for small children....read morehide

I've been looking at cars for 6 months and none of them tripped my trigger until I drove the 2007 Kia Rondo. It has as much interior passenger room and storage space as many compact SUV's that are much larger. I am short, so car height is not a huge issue with me, but seats that are too low are -- and the Kia Rondo has a levered seat-raising mechanism that sits me up nice and high for a great driving experience; the seats are also so comfortable - more so than any other small car/SUV that I drove. It also feels very open with lots of light and little to no blind spots. The ride is also much more comfortable than in all the SUV's I test drove. I've only owned the car a short time, but I love it! It feels like you are driving a much more expensive car than what you have paid for. I just wish it had a rear cargo cover standard and offered a 6 CD player in all models - that is a must when traveling so you are not fiddling with every CD after it plays. The layout of the vehicle is also very nice, with the gear shift right there at arms length and cup holders that are right next to you. It even has a double center console that serves as an armrest. And with standard features such as ESC, ABS, and a 5 year/60,000 warranty, you cannot go wrong. This is one nice little car that feels and drives like you spent a lot more than you did. And also, did I fail to mention it has a front, side and curtain airbags with a 5-star crash rating!...read morehide

People who find a problem with the Rondo may be wanting a $30K vehicle with the ammenities that come with, but at under $20K, this is a nice crossover.
The ride is smooth for the size and it is loaded with standard features. My option package added cruise and keyless antry. I added tinted glass and remote start at the dealer for under $500.
This vehicle is super quiet on the road and no engine noise in the cab. The doors are tight and solid and the car feels solid and well made. The toom inside is incredible when you consider how small it really is and the gas mileage for a crossover that does this much is great. I broke it iin properly and get 21-23 in town and 30-34 on the road. Both better than it is rated (21-29).
The base stereo also meets my needs and you can enjoy your CD's because it is so quite inside.
The EX has a bit more chrome, but to me not worth the extra money. The optional V6 is not needed, (I test drove both) since the I4 reaaly powers it beautifully. I also noticed the cruise speed holds well on hill, which is something I really didn't expect in a 4 cyl engine. The 16 valve DOGC engine helps this, I'm sure.
I went from a Suburban and years of driving Suburbans to this for gaas savings. Of course i gave up room, but room I really didn't need anymore since the kids are grown.
I think this vehicle is exclelent for buyer who do not want to spend $30K or more and that makes it ideal for a couple nearing retirement, like us and for any couple and small families. If it proves to be as reliable as the other Kias, it should last us a good long while. Our first road trips was comfortable and what a relief on our pocketbook for cost of fuel.
I think Kia is really making some fine vehicles.
Highly recommend you give this one a look....read morehide

I rented this car for an 1800 mile trip to take my daughter to college. The Rondo exceeded my expectations many times over. I had no idea how well-built Kia's were. In fact, it felt as well-built as any Honda. The V6 drivetrain was very smooth and provided very good power. 26 mpg for trip. Great storage areas beneath rear seats and throughout cabin. Ideal for someone who wants a minivan with out the minivan feel and low gas mileage. Great vehicle....read morehide

Car is very comfortable and is very roomy. I only wish that they would have had the 3rd row seat in stock with our color
