Bought the 2006 Mazda5 Touring straight off the showroom floor. Deeply discounted since it was Jan of 2007. But even without the discount, the value for this vehicle is unbelievable. In dash navigation very useful and folds away discretely under the dash. Very comfortable ride. Drove across sate and not once did I feel sore or weary, whereas my 2001 GMC Jimmy would beat me to a pulp in half the time and leave me exhausted at the end of a road trip. Handles like a sports car and is fun to drive. Much better looking and more economical than other family haulers out there. It does the same job they do, but with flair and cost effeiciency in mind....read morehide

I just bought mazda 5 2007. the dealar was so deceiving about the price. the window price was lower but if u buy the car they give u another higher window price. and they say this is the original price. and they have a lot of charges and they don't beat the price of yahoo price. unlike honda they beat the yahoo price and few of charges. but i still bought the masda5 2007. because it fits my needs and the size. when i drove home i experience like other people comment that the rear suspension got noise or squeecking. i brought back on the next day for service. they found out that the bushing was lose. after that the sound was gone but sometimes i heard again when i pass the bumpy road. The car is good in handling espescially in sharp curv, and it's good in acceleration. for me it is a good car but i'm not satisfied with the price. it cost my 2007 model more than a price of 2008 model. I felt corrupted with that dealer. Now i'm driving the car with bad feelings....read morehide

My husband and I purchased our Mazda 5 approximately 6 months ago with 150 miles. We now have almost 3,000 miles. This car is fun to drive, handles well, enough room for our family, the two of us and one toddler. There will be enough room for another baby. Stroller fits well in the back, and the back seats fold down for groceries, etc. I like how the stereo automatically turns down when you slow down, it auto adjusts to the cabin noise. This vehicle is functionable, and looks great! We will be traveling alot this summer - going on a few roadtrips and we will be enjoying every minute in our mazda 5! This is the best car we have ever owned, and hope to own this for a long time. I would recommend this vehicle to our friends and family. VERY happy with it!...read morehide

The obvious complaints having a 2007, The passenger Armrest? The lack of outer rear Armrest? Other than that, I dare you to find a vehicle in this price margin with this much to offer. Now they have fixed the Armrest and the rear A/C vents in the 2008... This vehicle is an absolute bargain and a really great vehicle.
This is one of my favorite vehicles... and it was the cheapest of my vehicles. It is a blast drive and has endless uses. Pick one up. You will love it!!
I threw a set of Dunlop snow tires and 16 inch wheels and the thing moves right along in the snow too. AWD would be nice... But, I am not complaining....read morehide

I bought this car in 2006, first month it was fine. After that I've taken it in for noisy in suspension, the rear shock mount had to be replaced. Poor mpg, not very comfortable, not good for long trips. It also had a bad alignment, my rear tires are more worn on the outside edges. I notice this within the first 6 months, the dealer will not correct it and I would have to pay for an alignment. Overall, I wish I would have bought a Honda or Toyota. Dealer support is very bad on Mazda....read morehide

Other reviews have said that there isn't ample legroom in the front or that you have to be small to drive it comfortably. I disagree -- I'm not small and I drive it fine. Meanwhile, six foot husband can also ride comfortably in passenger seat. 2nd row is great. There is space between the seats (like budget captain's chairs) so I never hear, "She's touching me!" and the seats move independently of each other so, if we are carrying 6, we can adjust so that all have sufficient legroom. Space between seats makes it easy to get to 3rd row as well. 2nd row legroom is excellent per my 12-year old. 3rd row is great for my 9 year old and her friends. Secret compartments in 2nd row seats are great place for the kids to stash ipods, nintendos and other stuff that is sometimes hard to hide in a van or wagon. Brown leather interior is really nice. It has all of the little things that my VW station wagon had (heated seats, tells me the outside temperature). I would recommend against any exterior trim packages (spoiler, groundwork, sunroof guard) because they make it look very van-ny. It's super easy to parallel park. Others have complained of it not having much power and it really doesn't; the power is adequate and I wouldn't buy this car if I were looked for something powerful or sporty. I've also read complaints about gas mileage -- well, I think it's hard to design a car that can haul 6 people plus stuff and get good gas mileage. That said, I don't have a complaint with the gas mileage. We took this car to the beach for a week with 3 adults, a 12-year old and a 9-year old and the lot of us plus our modest amount of luggage fit just fine (with no bubble on top). Here is an added bonus: It has the biggest glove compartment you've ever seen. I stored 3 hardback novels and a paperback in it on the way to vacation without removing the usual junk that accumulates in the glove. I can't figure out why I don't see more of these on the road. BTW, I've had mine for almost a year....read morehide

I researched this purchase for 6 months and was so excited to make the decision to buy it. Was able to get moon roof and DVD system versus one or the other in the Ford Freestyle. Plus I saved over $10,000. The ride was noisy when we had 1 or 2 windows open, but after we got the under spray the ride was quiet. It turns great. It gives me the same seating (minus 1 seat) as my van does, but is so much more fun to drive. It's easier to park. Love it, Love it, Love it....read morehide
