Great fuel economy and awesome torque - comparison to a V8.

The indicator lamp for fog lights is hidden behind the steering wheel

I took delivery of the car through the European delovery program (Which I highly recommend). Drove the car in Germany for about 700 miles. I get a fule economy of 35 - 39 mpg going to and from work. The torque from this V6 diesel engine with variable vane turbo is awesome. It is comparable to a car with a V8 under the hood. Passing cars can be done very quickly and safe. In my opinion a much better choice than the E350 gas. It is nearly impossible to notice the sound of a diesel engine. I highly recommend this vehicle....read morehide

Great fuel economy and surprisingly it comes with a toaster built into the center console.

Cons

Toaster crumb tray needs to be emptied after each loaf.

This is truly a green luxury sedan. Obviously I could list the stats and features here but a Mercedes is really more of an experience, in other word the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It also comes in red and black in addition to green.

Pros

Fabulous powertrain. Very strong quiet acceleration and 33-36 mpg on the highway. Great ride.

Cons

Pricey routine service at MB dealer, and hard to get serviced elsewhere.

NO problems. Only back to dealer for routine service. Roomy interior with large useable trunk. A very complete car with lots of safety features. Goes 600-700 miles on $50 of diesel. Can travel all day with very little fatigue.

This is a good car for it's price. Fast, comfortable and nice. Very nice sound system, good handling. And with 5 star crash test rating by NHTSA you get anything you want from the car in this price range.

My first "foreign car" - always been Detroit loyal. However, for the price and relevant value, this auto met my demands. Runs great, engineering is great - I couldn't be more satisfied.

ANYONE WHO HAS POSTED A REVIEW ON THIS CAR AND ONLY OWNED OR LEASED IT FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME SHOULD HAVE WAITED A FEW MONTHS BEFORE PRAISING MERCEDES!!!

This is my first and last MB. 15K in mileage and the dealer has told me that my rear rim is cracked and the two from rims are bent beyond repair, the suspension is all messed up and MB is telling me it's my fault. The cost is $3,100 to repair the vehicle. MB says I must have hit some large pot holes... oh yeah and none of that is covered. The truth of the matter is that the 2007 has a new suspension system which is not designed for durabilty. MB's web site also posts a small disclaimer regarding the problems incurred by driving on rough or damaged road surfaces or upon encountering road debris or obstacles. Factoring in my lease payments, the service and repair costs this car (1 year old) has cost me $1,100. per month. I strongly suggest looking for a real luxury car vs. buying the MB name! Oh.. one more thing, The brakes always squeak. MB says they are fine and notings wrong. Quite Embarrassing...read morehide

Great car so far w/ 9k miles (in 3 months). MB USA, for some reason, does not offer a lot of options with this car nor does it stock many fully optioned Bluetecs. In Germany, you can get more options then in the US, i.e. the AMG styling package. I had to order this car with everything I wanted then wait, but it was worth it. Sooner or later the US will get on board with Europe and diesel cars, hopefully MB USA will be more inclined to treat diesels like their gas counterparts.
I put E63 wheels on before leaving the dealership, it still rides great and looks even better. I'll be looking for a new MB Diesel in about 300,000 miles after I've worn this one out.

Having spent 4 years in a 911 and then 4 more in a 2003 e55, I can never go back to ordinary power. First this car is head and shoulders abover the old e55. The supercharged engine was a clydesdale compared to this thoroughbred. Sure it had tons of power but you never quite felt like you were in control. Aggressive driving was always on the edge of losing it. This car allows you to control powermuch better along with the 7 speed transmission that is better geared for day to day driving. Final thing in comparison is the exhaust not (63 is much more aggressive and loves to be taken to 6k) the old 55 was muted and felt tired after around 4500rpm. And this car provides, IMO, the best combination of peoplemover and sports car. It's like combining a viper with your minivan. Mine came loaded with glass roof, auto trunk closer (actually more worth it than i thought), ipod integrator, satellite, basically every option except distronic. Off the line acceleration is great, shifting is superb and i have had no squeal of brakes. Picked it up in March. No issues with 6k miles. The new silver is beautiful and much brighter than the old brilliant silver. Do yourself a favor, drive one, get on it then pick the kids up from school and tell me life isn't great!...read morehide

Center console armrest is not comfortable.

Purchased (not leased) this for wife. Black on black with sport package. We really enjoy the style, look, GPS, on-screen system, music system and ride.

Comments on this and other web sites reqarding quality and reliability greatly concerned me, but was wife's choice. Rolled the dice and glad we did. First 3,000 miles has been a dream.

Took to dealer for inspection in Novi, Michigan and was well serviced and treated well.

Not many Mercedes in our area, thus it certainly seen and viewed by many as unique....read morehide
