Bought used with 10K. I've had one year with minimum issues. Issues I did have were dealt with no hassles from Mini Service at no charge to me (Car comes with 3 yr complete maintenance/warranty, and I mean complete)

As you drive the car for awhile you start noticing the real value and incredible BMW engineering that goes into the car that just blows away anything in it's class.

If you have a family this car may not be for you. Front seats have ample legroom (I'm 6'0") and I need to pull seat up. You can fit one petite adult or a child in the backseat. I'm 40 something and for my wife and my dog this is a great car.

My cons list the factory speakers. Most all stink and I would probably replace any OEM coming with any car anyway. The Run Flats do wear quickly. Most owners go to non runflats and keep the exisitng TPMS monitoring system and keep the tire pressure at spec. Onboard computer will notify when below 25psi. (I read 85% of blowouts are from low tire pressure) That and a can of tire sealant and a active membership with AAA and your covered.

In the S you have a performance car. Performance tires wear fast. If you want you can get some 16" rims and run more traditional tires. You'll lose some of the performance but it may give you less tire changes.

All in all I love the car and would not want to drive anything else

It takes corners very well, feeling flat to the ground. The sunroof which spans the front and back seat is a must have to let in tons of natural light -- but beware it doesn't come with a cover to shut out the light. I love listening to music while I drive, so the speed-sensitive volume control is a blessing. As long as the people sitting in front don't have too long legs, the people in back should be fine.

Get this car if you're a driving enthusiast and don't care too much about passengers, driving comfort, or trunk space -- all these aspects are tolerable but don't expect the best. For the performance of this car, I'm thrilled to get about 32 mpg with city/freeway driving....read morehide

This is a great sized car even for families. It looks very small, but in reality, it's a decent sized vehicle. I've had mine for about 8 years and it's still running great and I am overly pleased.

Owned the car seven months....No problems so far

I commute 70 miles a day to work ...I appreciate the mini's performance on the highway,comfort,quality and that it gets almost 400 miles per tank of gas. Traded a Hummer H3 for a Cooper S and haven't looked back.
Best money I've spent on a vehicle.

I bought my Mini last april,the car wasn't a problem the dealer was. I was stold I had a week to make any changes. Two days later I called and said I wanted a different set of wheels and chrome trim. The salesman said it was to late to change anything,that he put the order in "special" and that the car was being built. I never did get the wheels even after many phone calls and taling to the manager who promised it would be taken care off. But thats not what you want to know,what you want to know is that this car handles GREAT on dry roads and in the snow. I live in Mass.not far from the Vermont boarder and this car drives in the snow like a dream. I have always been into high performance cars an this is one.It combines power with great handaling,handaling thats way beyond what i'm capable of,and I use to be a professional driver. The back seats are nothing to brag about there ok for kids, but for adults its crampt. I spent two hours in the back seat and that was enough for me. Think of the Mini as more of a two seater. I had a terrrible experience with the Mini Road side assistance with a flat tire. It was a fiasco and a half because the wrong tow truck was sent. It took over 24 hours and about 15 phone calls to get my car picked up and towed. Since it arrived at the dealer after my service rep left, it got parked in a sales lot and no one could find it the next day until several hours later. The other negative is that unless you have an appointment, difficult to get "emergencies" worked into their service department. My flat occurred on Monday and couldn't get my car until Friday. Dealer overcharges for tire. Found tire at another tire place and brought it to the dealer to mount. The road hazard insurance isn't worth the price. Wear has to be no more than 2/32nd and mine was 2/33 and they would not replace. Don't buy the warranty. I will be removing all 4 Run flats off my car and putting normal tires on. Carry a small tire compressor and a can of run flat. I will say that what saved the day was I was able to get a loaner even though they didn't have my car yet.... they owed me that much......read morehide

My wife acquired her MINI S two months ago. The car lives up to expectations in terms of go kart-like steering with great power under the hood. The 2007 S models were the first to offer turbo charged engines in lieu of the earlier supercharged models. While the power is there, the lag is noticeable. My wife's model had a defect in the CD player, which failed to properly eject discs. The dealership changed out the unit, but in so doing eliminated the Bluetooth feature. We had to take the car in for additional service to have this restored. In general, the service department has treated the MINI as a clear stepchild to their BMW's. Thankfully, we have gotten beyond some of the initial service requirements until the first scheduled maintenance visit. My wife now says every car she will ever own will be a MINI as once you have driven a MINI, nothing else will do....read morehide

Mini's are easy to order and delivery from overseas doesn't take to long. The car is cute,and lots of fun to drive. There is some wind noise,but it doesn't take long to get use to it. There is a new aluminum door facing trim on 2007 and2008 models that is applied with adhesive. This was loose when we brought my car home and is now popping up and scratching my paint. We purchased this car from ROADSHOW MINI in Memphis and I am not pleased with their response to my problems. This part was ordered 8 weeks ago and I had to call to find out the status of the part today. Their follow up has been poor so far and concern seems indifferent. I was told the manager that was helping me quit. We had other problems with Roadshow Mini,so be alert if you choose to do business with them....read morehide

I LOVE this car. I am 57 years old and have had several cars since age 16. This is my favoriteof all time. It corners like a dream. Lots of hp for the weight and no fear entering the freeway because it can go 0 to 60 in no time. Great road car. Great running errands in town. plenty of room for groceries. Parking in tight spaces is easy. My boyfriend is a 6 footer and has no problem with leg room or shoulders. I'm always amazed at how many younger people admire it. I have low profile tires on it an the change color interior lighting for night. OMG, this is a dream. I have the S with a 6 spped. Just test drive it. Go on the freeway, up hills and around corners. You'll be amazed at the performance. You'll never go back to a sedan....read morehide
