This is one of the models Gm PONTIAC division got right! Gm was wrong on their decision to drop em. but what do i know im just a COMSUMER. Now about the car. pefect user friendly layout as far as guages,window & lock switches,seat controls & a.c-heat vents. Seats comfortable & mine are leather very durable. No probs with my panormanic roof. love the 6 disc monsoon stereo system! I think the steering is very precise. Brakes have been good. however im due for a rear set of pads at 34,000 miles? Think ill change to a better brand on the pads? The 3.9 & 6 speed Works!! A perfectly balanced output for the car! Was 240 h.p but i bumped it with a few tricks. Now over 300 h.p without comprimising reliability. Another beautiful thing about the car is easy upgrades. The interior color theme is perfectly done. two tone cashmier & brown seats. Doors & dash casmier & black. Exterior Black & chrome package. 18 inch polished bright finish wheels. The only two problems i have had in the two & half years & 34,000 miles. was a electronic clutch sensor going out. covered & fixed under the warrenty. The other is a mystery apperently on my car only so far? No gm records of problem on other g6's? In the winter at 35 or below weather. After turning off the car the key release fails. & dealer has replaced ignition & modules 4 times. & sadly it still happens. But guess what i dont care! ill live with it! I love the car that much! When i was buying the car. I was choosing between a silver Gto, a yellow solstice & the G6 GTP. The GTP won me over By trunk space interior room color combination & power for a sedan. I never have made a better choice in my life on a car!!!! i highly recommed This model!...read morehide

Purchased As Used

I purchased this car three days ago since my 98 Toyota Avalon died out on me. The Avalon had a ton of space, and a few months ago I looked to purchase a 2007 Avalon, and to my surprise the steering wheel was rubbing up against my knees since I am 6'3" 220 pounds. In fact all of the cars I tried were too small for me, so the other day when I got into this car I figured it would be too small. However since the steering wheel for the 2007 G6 was able to move up and towards you, it gave me plenty of leg room.

The price at my local dealer was $16,000 for it when you include taxes and everything, I got $1,500 for my trade in and put $3,000 down to get my payments at $330 per month @ 60 months. I really like how the car grips the road, my avalon if you accidentally shifted the steering wheel the car would swerve, but now when the cops are behind me I can keep the car perfectly straight with the road :D The fuel economy is great, it even displays a computer that calculates how much gas you have left, MPG estimate that you are using based on your driving, and your average speed.

Oh another nitpick is the stereo, it really sounds great with hard hitting bass, but when you turn up the volume the bass is lowered and the highs are increased so it doesn't sound good. I assume it does this due to the lack of high wattage from the stereo, so it actually sounds better to play it at lower volumes. The air/heat work great, you can feel the air blowing in your face like a blow dryer. I like this car and plan to keep it for as long as it lasts....read morehide

Could use more, or more efficient trunk space

We downsized from an SUV in hopes of better fuel economy as we have a son playing college football 8 hours away and desired better fuel economy on trips to games. The G6 consistently gets 30+ mph on the highway at interstate speeds. We have over 10,000 miles on it in 9 months and absolutely no problems or regrets. Got a great deal on it which offsets the probably lower resale price in comparison to the imports. Cargo space could be bigger but SUV's have spoiled us in that regard. Dimensions and specs are all very comparable to the Accord and the price/warranty much better....read morehide

I have purchased over 80 brand new cars in my lifetime. This car ranks as one of the best. I really enjoy driving it. I get 27 miles per gallon on highway and 23 in town. Great car, My neighbor purchased one after driving mine.

No cruise control or remote start

The interior is spacious with plenty of headroom and rear seat leg room. Truck space is good and we obtained a truck organizer after-market.

This would be the last one I buy, I had a ford taurus before this pontiac and it was twice the car for comfort and handling. The next car I buy will be a Camry.

after 2 weeks of purchase brand new car i heard the noise from its body, i felt like i was driving old car, I tried to returned back to dealer but i was told i will loose 11k in 2 weeks so i kept it, but i would suggest otheres to think 3 times before purchase this vehicle.

I push this car to 100 mph like everyday because it's so easy. I love it's speed! Most cars that are considered "fast" at this price range have all the power in the take-off (Cobalt), but this car has the speed in the take off and all the way through. This is the only car in which I make the exception that the 4-door looks better than the 2-door. It's so beautiful....read morehide

Smooth in a straight line and fast.

Turning is stiff and way too many blind spots.

I went on a trip to Washington DC and drove this car as a rent-a-car. The car was good on gas and felt smooth for the most part. On the highway it was very quick to reach 80 or 90 miles per hour and the engine was silent as a mouse.

When making U-turns or any sharp turns, the car seemed very stiff to me. Also the car had many blind spots, which almost got me in a minor accident....read morehide

Snow is this cars worst enemy! If there is any snow or ice on the ground, leave it at home!

This car is one of the funnest cars that I have owned. I love the fact that Pontiac is comming out with their new designed cars. In two months I'm trading in my Grand Prix GT for the new Solstice!
