i literally drove this suv through a tornado--just one day after purchasing the truck, it handled like a dream through the wind, heavy rains, i never felt unsafe. on my road trip, i encountered a rain-sleet-snow storm after the heavy rains and tornados--yes this is a true story--the truck handled like a dream. i outchased the storms and lived to tell about it, i have over 50k on the truck now and will never consider another manufacturer. long trips are especially comfortable in this suv...read morehide

Toyota reliablilty is second to none. Love this SUV.

Cons

Power window controls difficult to reach.

This vehicle is an exellent ride with outstanding value. I would and have recomended buying one to others looking for a new car. I owned a Tacoma prior to the 4 Runner and the resale value on my Tacoma was off the hook. Tried the 4-Runner 4 years ago and didn't like the truck-like ride - bought Nissan Pathfinder instead - just turned in the Pathfinder for the 4Runner - super ride - good sturdy tires - good looking car with vent on the hood -

I tryed different SUVs and this is it. The 4runner has the best handeling I have tryed.

Cons

Cant shut off the stability control, it will be nice to be able to.

Super stable ride, you will never loose control of the vehicle.
Great acceleration, really gripped to the pavement.
