This is my first truck and first Toyota. I test drove the top 5 pickups out there and this was my pick. When it came to power nothing could touch the Tundras 5.7L. The transmission shifts smoothly and I get better MPG then advertised. I have had this truck for almost a year, I have towed 10k (bobcat +trailer and equipment) up hills with no problem, this is really the truck that leaves the big 3 behind....read morehide

Ordered a 2008 - First time I saw it, I loved it, then I drove one and loved it more. I drove everything but a Ford (sorry guys) and chose the Tundra for smoothness. Getting better than expected mileage on break-in - but I didn't buy it for the gas mileage! Did a lowering kit 2/5 (so it will fit in my underground parking at work) and am surprised at how well it corners now - nice and flat. With this power on tap, you'll be tempted to horse it - gas mileage will suffer and you will continue to horse it - cause it's more fun, even if you pay at the pumps. Awesome ride on the highway - 75mph at 2,000 RPM and dead quiet. 6 speed tranny means this thing is never in the wrong gear and get up and go is there with only a small press of the peddle - exhaust has a nice rumble to it at 60mph - claims for gas mileage were similar to Chevy by the manufacturers - I thought they were both lying, but is still much better than a Hemi - I love the floor shift and centre storage - don't care how many CDs it holds cause an Ipod is better anyway and plugs right in - I read the story aboutthe guy who hated everything about the new Tundra - sorry man, I can't agree!...read morehide

Go ahead cheer for this over-weight, poorly styled, sorry-excuse for a truck. The Tundra is just hype, when I drove the "amazing" new Tundra I was so un-impressed after owning 8 previous pick-ups this one drove the worst. I was so under-impressed I have talked numerous people out of them. I then drove the new Silverado and was so impressed I traded in my 2005 F150 for a 2008 Silverado Z71 LT2 with a 5.3L AFM V8. I can't believe the amount of reviews I am reading from fellow hard working American's who have fell into there trap. Something are just wrong and a truck made in America by a company based out of Japan (where the profits go) is one of them. Unlike most folks around here I have a little bit of pride left, and buying an AMERICAN truck is part of it. Good luck with your new Tundra, bowing tailgates and cam shaft snapping pieces of junk....read morehide

I got double cab V6, and it is the best comfortable truck with V6 engine I ever drove. I used to drive 2003 tundra V6 reguler cab and 2002 nissan frontier V6 XE before. This 2007 model got a lot of improve about comfort and gas milage. So far, fuel average is about 18 miles / gal.

i got the XPS package with leather,20in wheels, step tubes,class3 hitch and wheel arches. This truck screams muscle!! I've always been a chevy guy, but don't like the new look. Ford rides like a buckboard wagon, and Nissan ain't got it. This truck steps up the standards for what a truck should be for the price. Toyota has their homework done from start to finish....read morehide

I do not understand all the hype that Chevy is making about their new truck's gas mileage. My new tundra is giving me 22 mpg on the highway. You do not see Toyota proudly stating this out in their commercials-Toyota should? I think overall the new crew max is excellent. This is my third toyota vehicle and by far I most impressed with this one. The power of the 4.7L V8 is awesome. It gives out a whopping 22mpg (for a huge truck) this is a huge selling point on this engine size. I can not believe that people are stating that the new Tundra's interior looks cheap. These people might be half blind or just plain dumb when they see quaility. The truck is solid from the inside and out. When you drive this truck you can feel the awesome power and you feel like you are driving a man's truck. The truck is probably the most stylish of all past tundras. It looks and feels sporty and you feel like people are always staring at it when they see it. The interiror was really the selling point for me. Its really roomy and everything from doors and seats - it all feels solid and well built. The back power window is great for the kids and my german shepher loves it. So peopole wake and smell the coffee. The new Tundra is definitely a strong contender....read morehide

Ive had this tundra for 4 months and boy do I regret buing this. tranny started to bang into gear after 2 two months and 3000 miles, so I took it back to be checked, Said they fixed it, aweek later it started again. when I looked inside for the first time the interior looked cheap and boy is it ever the front seat is starting to crack. I checked it out and saw that low quality leather was used. I took it to a mechic friend . put it up on racks and saw the the low quality steel used. Buyers before you buy one go check out the service dept. You'll see afew tundras in there buyers beware....read morehide

The truck rides very smooth. Eventhough its a big truck it handles like a car. Toyota has outdone itself once more. I really think that Chevy and Ford should really step it up in the next several years because this truck has a lot of selling potential. I see this new tundra crew max taking over as the number one truck in the USA within the next year or so. Just test drive it and you will know what I am talking about. I am suprised to see that I am actaully averaging about 22 to 23 miles mpg in the highway. That is unbelievable for such a big truck. Ford and Chevy can not match this mpg any time soon - they would have to go hybrid....read morehide

Was sold on chevy until I drove the tundra. Most of the things i thought chevy ruled were standard on the tundra.
Great truck. Power great when going onto ramps etc. Was 85 in a flash. Others could not match the power and towing. Chevy stuck on drum brakes on the rear. LOL!!! Talk about living in the past. Chevy salesperson stated their rear disk brakes kept getting trash stuck in mechs. Sounds like a GM design problem. Oh they will put disks on rear as option.
Tundra brake are great just as the adds shows great!!!...read morehide
