Overall the CTS is simply awesome. I've have mine since Aug of 08 and would say this is the best car I've owned. I find myself looking for excuses to drive ;)

Only issue, which really doesn't effect the cars performance, is brake noise. Both the Dealer and Cadillac are working with me to resolve the noise. Cadillac's customer service has been simply awesome during this time? A+! Nice to know that if something does go wrong they are willing to stand behind their product to resolve it....read morehide

Pros

Looks, comfort, fit and finish are all excellent. Plenty of get up and go.

Cons

Nothing to complain about so far except for the price.

This is my third Cadillac and definitely the best yet. I had a terrible time with my 2004 SRX but liked the looks of the CTS and gave it a shot. It is one sweet car and I've owned many!

Performance package with the 50'wide and 18 inch tires makes for a hard ride./ Fog lights are dim.

I held back on no options but do wish they had 18 in tires and polished rims with out getting the handling package. Its just to hard of a ride.

Two occurances of leaks both on the A frame into the D/S floor. its been corrected.

i think i was one of the very few that had the fuel pump replaced at just 200 miles when i got stuck

Car is very low. clearance is just a few inches. With the all wheel drive this becomes a snow plow with 5 inches of snow on the ground. But it still goes :o)...read morehide

Hard to use controls hidden behind wheel, driving position means legs nearly straight,no bluetooth

Purchased 2/08, great dealer service (Crest), got base engine, very happy with performance and handles well. I spend nearly 2 hours daily driving in traffic a 60 mile round trip to work and home and have been avg 23-24 mpg so I'm happy. Trunk and interior space is very good. I have nearly 14K with nearly no problems. This is the third Caddy I have had and it certainly it the best....read morehide

After having 3 Linccoln LS's sedans i recently purchased the 2008 Cadillac CTS.I love the large V-6, 18 in tires and overall look. I got Black on Black, it looks like the Batmobile.The sport package is great.The spots package gives me the firm ride and control I like without having to buy a european car.The dealer experience was exellent especially considering i was a first time customer.I looked at a Lincoln MKS and they can't seem to get the car in the dealership so the CTS was my next look. Thank you California’s Oakland dealership for awful negotiation attitudes. I make two intentions of buying a CTS. One ended up buying a Mercedes Benz and the other an Audi. No wonder why sell of GM went down like this with this kind of dealership. The CTS could be a nice car, but the other competitors’ are as good as this with better service and dealership....read morehide

The car has everything one could want, including Blue tooth. Fit/Finish equals any luxury import.

Backup camera would be a nice option

This is the first domestic car I have owned since 1968. I have owned every other luxury make except Lexus; this car surpasses all of them! It really feels good to buy American again and get a quality product!

Gas mileage is averaging 21 mpg overall. As much as 26 on the freeway - as low as 19 around town.

I ordered all the options and a 6 speed manual trans, DI. The car performs like a sports car! Handles like a dream - firm, but very comfortable and exceptionally quiet! Real time traffic on the GPS - fantastic!

My prior ride was an Infiniti M45 - loved it! But this Cadillac CTS is better!...read morehide

I just got back from Iraq and my wife and I bought a red one with the Luxury Package and I couldn't ask for anything more. This car is a dream come true and I love the looks we get driving it around. The week after purchase, an Infinity G35 pulled up next to us at a stop light and started revving his engine. I shifted over to the sport shift and smoked him off the line...this car is amazing!

I had heard negative things about the sun shade prior to going and looking at one and I can say that it really isn't a factor. Even in sunny southern california, it blocks out a large portion of the sun, there is little to no glare and it is actually nice to block the sun but still get the residual lighting.

I am completely content with our purchase and don't see myself driving anything else for a very long time!...read morehide

I've had my '08 CTS now for 7 months and am extremely pleased. The AWD was great in snow and the car performs fantastically. 304 horses respond on demand & allows for good passing. The 40 gig hard drive lets me keep the CD's in the house instead of the car & makes the car less cluttered. Onstar is a welcome feature that will make me think twice about future vehicles without such a service. The car phone is also welcome feature that is hands free with voice commands for calling.

As for -'s, I'm averaging 19 mpg, less than I expected. Trunk space allows only for 1 set of golf clubs, so if that's important to you check that out. I also agree the sunshade could use improvement, but that doesn't bother me much. All weather floor mats slip alot. The Acura TL I traded in had a notch to prevent this, CTS needs to add this feature.

Overall, the car delivers the peformance expected as the Car of the Year. No regrets with leaving Acura to go with the CTS....read morehide
