Purchased 2/08, great dealer service (Crest), got base engine, very happy with performance and handles well. I spend nearly 2 hours daily driving in traffic a 60 mile round trip to work and home and have been avg 23-24 mpg so I'm happy. Trunk and interior space is very good. I have nearly 14K with nearly no problems. This is the third Caddy I have had and it certainly it the best....read morehide

Thank you Californiaâs Oakland dealership for awful negotiation attitudes. I make two intentions of buying a CTS. One ended up buying a Mercedes Benz and the other an Audi. No wonder why sell of GM went down like this with this kind of dealership. The CTS could be a nice car, but the other competitorsâ are as good as this with better service and dealership....read morehide

Picked up my 2008 CTS about a week ago and I can not say enough good about it. Truly an exceptional car. Rides great, extremely quiet interior, and very comfortableto sit in. Every aspect of the driving experience has been carefully thought through and properly addressed.

Don't listen to that lady she's a Big Lier- She does Not own a 3.6 CTS 2008- Mine is soft as silk and not noise at all after 40 MPH. I drive 100 miles very day and the noise issue is not true at all.
Maybe that lady owns a Cadillac from the 80's. That I can understand

This car moves off the dealers lot very fast. People love the car and the ride is very good.

Twice now I have sent in a request for a price quote online for a Cadillac CTS to a particular dealer..something I have done before successfully with several other cars..The dealer never bothered to answer either request..I suppose it's the ole new car salesman jive: we can't keep them in stock etc..Listen to me: they ain't that good! So,I'll just a another model of car.....read morehide

My one major complaint is the design of the center floor console. It"s absolutely useless !!! There is room for nothing.Another thing is the auto shift lever which is impossible to see what gear your in at night..I"m sure it was very cost effective for general motors to not install a light bulb..I have never owned a car with no light,,Have you ever noticed all the foreign cars come with a shift light ??????...read morehide

I have owned my '08 CTS for four months and have put 6,400 miles on it. It has performed flawlessly and is a joy to drive. I am getting just over 20 MPG overall, with most of my driving in town. Mileage will likely be better for most others, as I tend to drive very fast. I compared the CTS to the Lincoln MKZ, the Camry, Accord, and the new '08 Ford Taurus. The CTS, while the most expensive of that group, seemed to me to be the best value. This is a wonderful mid-sized sedan....read morehide

1. Storage compartment between the front seats is tiny compared to what we were used to with a 96 Cavalier and an 05 Malibu.
2. No compact spare tire, jack or lug wrench. I feel uneasy about this and intend to get these later. There is some doubt from some tire dealers as to whether a flat tire treated with a sealant is repairable.
3. Gas pedal could be desensitized a little for starting out from a stoplight for a little better control. Although it has an electrical gas pedal, it apparently is not programmable by the dealer.
4. I completely detest the automatic window rollup and rolldown feature. The switches allow manual control but are too touchy.
5. Automatic transmission with 3 speeds plus lockup would be quite adequate with available engine torque but Caddy with 6 speeds needs to keep up with the competition. Fewer speeds would mean fewer shifts. Shift points are smooth but still can be felt....read morehide
