LOVING MY ESCALADE

by Kimmy H from West Bloomfield, MI (8/03/08)
Pros:nice GPS, easy to handle, fun to drive, looks soooo good, user friendly
Cons:no room w 3rd row seating, no one can sit back there

I'm a 48 year old wife and mom and the whole family loves the Escalade, even my husband (who drives a Lexus LX) Of course it drinks gas, 403 horses, duh....but I love my Escalade, it is fun to drive and turns heads everywhere I drive it...I actually have a 2007, but wanted to wait a year b4 I wrote and yes I'm still in love with this vehicle. Good value when you look at all the features. It is so smooth on the highway.....hands down better than the Range Rover and I haven't had any major (or minor) problems. I was thinking about getting something smaller, but I just can't part with this SUV! Get one and enjoy it!

Who cares if regular is expensive?!I see $3.85 a gallon, and i still refuse to trade my escalade for a Honda Fit.With the only option bein a sunroof,60 grand may seem overboard, but after i installed ampsin my babys headliner,i boom-out to 95.5(if youve been around the great city of Atlanta, you know what im talkin about) all day,and the gas prices dont bother me!

Amazed by the Escalade.

by Jeff D. from Riverside, CA USA (5/09/08)
Pros:True luxury: Smooth, comfortable, responsive, great handling
Cons:Steering wheel blocks instrument panel in my favorite position

I just got back from a 3 day trip to Lake Tahoe. The nice lady at Advantage inside Reno airport gave me a $40/day manager special plus $3.00 gal gas, 1/2 or full tank. I took the offer and was very glad I did!!

The is simply the finest vehicle I've ever driven. I liked it better than the DTS I rented last year for 4 days. The engine is more responsive and the handling is far superior to the DTS. I zoomed around Lake Tahoe mountain roads with ease and absolute control. The DTS tended to understeer. Not this Escalade.

The interior is beautiful and comfortable. The seats are easy to adjust and driving is effortless. I only wish the gauges were easier to view with the wheel in my favorite position. Otherwise, the Escalade is perfect.

As for fuel economy, I have no complaints. I left RNO with a full tank. After drving up to South Lake Tahoe, driving all the way around the lake, driving around the town, driving over to Virginia City and back to the airport...I still had over 1/2 a tank left. Fuel usage is excellent for a vehicle of this size and 400 hp.

I always thought I would buy a Lincoln Navigator one day. Not anymore. If I could ever afford it, I would go to my local Cadillac dealer and buy one of these without hesitation.

If you haven't driven an Escalade, I encourage you to test drive one today. You will be amazed.

THE BEST OF THE BEST.

by lAITH hABOOA from TORONTO, ONTARIO (5/06/08)
Pros:Nicest, most luxo SUV available... surprisingly good on gas when not on the pedal hard...
Cons:Could be a little better on gas, ride could be softer..

AAA+++.

Top of the line everything. I would buy this vehicle over and over... Lots of room and not a whole lot harder on gas than any mid-sized SUV.

A Powerful but Elegant Mobile Office.

by JAR from Orange County, CA (4/28/08)
Pros:Luxurious interior, masculine exterior with eye catchng headlamps and grille.
Cons:Have to fill it up every other day. No bluetooth.

Add the luxury package for sheer comfort and interior beauty. Remove the rear seats if you don't need them, and there is plenty of storage room. On the standard size model, GM makes a color keyed cargo cover that slips into the preexisting slots. I also added GM OEM rear mud guards (color keyed) and a premium carpeted cargo area mat.

I have had a number of SUVs in the past (Range Rover, BMW X5, Navigator, Porsche Cayenne), but this is my overall favorite for on-road use. However, it really can't compete with Range Rover at all, if you're looking to go off road. The Cayenne is closer to a sports car feel.

THE CADILLAC ESCALADE IS AN ANNOYING LUX SUV

by FRANKY from SEATTLE (4/27/08)
Pros:THE RIDE COMFORT
Cons:FUEL ECONOMY, RELIABILITY SEATS DONT FOLD FLAT.

ONE TIME I WAS AT THE BANK AND WENT OUTSIDE WHEN I TRIED TO TURN ON MY CAR IT TOOK ABOUT 3 TRIES. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID I HAD A BAD COMPUTER CHIP. IT WASA SO EXSPENSIVE TO REPAIR IT. THE FUEL ECONOMY IS TERRIBLE AT 12/17.

THE INTERIOR IS SO ELEGANT. THE LUSH LEATHER IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO SIT ON. THE NAVIGATION IS GREAT.

IT IS VERY ANNOYING THAT THE SEATS DONT FOLD FLAT. YOU WOULD EXPECT THAT ON A 70 GRAND CAR. IT IS VERY HARD TO KEEP HEAVY AND LONG OBJECTS BALANCED.

What an absolute beast!

by Bernie from Doha, Qatar (3/30/08)
Pros:Love to drive it
Cons:No front Aux (on mine), not enough storage room, no bluetooth

Have just purchased one here in Qatar where gas is cheaper than water. The review about the transmission has me a bit worried, fingers crossed for that one.
I'm still working out the nav/dvd system a bit, not always intuitive. I have no idea why they label the button 'Audio' when it controls DVD's also. Took it for a drive in the desert yesterday and parked it up in front of a sand dune with a big oil flare in the background.Being black with tinted windows - well I just have to pinch myself. I do think the storage compartments could be a bit more plentiful and I now have to try and find some visors for the windows.

Mastery Comparable To A Maybach

by Tudor M from MI (2/15/08)
Pros:BOSE sound system+rear climate control+driver and passenger comfort
Cons:amount of colors available to choose from

I must say Cadillac has done it again. They have transformed an S.U.V. into a thing of beaty called the Escalade. The new Escalade is very stylish and unique. In its own way I believe it has managed to outclass other cars in its class. My favorite part though is the BOSE speaker system. The kind of sound quality acheived due to those speakers coupled with the interior makes one of the absolute greatest level of sound quality. The Escalade looks to me like one of your best options for luxury on a day to day basis. I give it two thumbs up because i cant give it three.
