Purchased As New
bought it with 7 miles on it, dont burn gas , dont really use the ac, i rather the fan still blows cold, it really dont get hot when u first open ur door, as long as the sunroof cover is closed, i always get compliments, i love where the window buttons are, so when it rains they dont get wet, i dont like it when ppl think its a pt cruiser thats chysler, i been loving chevy since i was a baby, my 1st fav car is and still is a vette, any way when first came out i was like thats a wierd truck, once i drove it i fell in love with it, of coarse its paid in full, i love this car!...read morehide

I bought the 08 Panel 7 months ago for a business vehicle and it has exceeded my expectations. Storage is great and lots of room in back for my tools, including a 13 foot extendable ladder. Ride and drive are better than expected and I find myself wanting to drive this instead of the rav4 on long trips as the ride is much quiter. The stock sound system is really pretty good and is very versatile in its settings. Overall a great vehicle that is fun to drive and I can't stop for gas without getting questions from strangers. Put big bowties on panel sides cause I got 1 too many pt cruiser remarks (eg. I didn't know cruisers were made in panel trucks!)...read morehide

We traded our '05 Trailblazer for the '07 HHR in August '07. I was concerned about not have enough room for the 2 boys that we have, but we do! It will do almost everything that the Trailblazer will do except pull a heavy trailer: I don't have one so who cares.
Don't install a Flowmaster muffler on it or you will have to wear ear plugs on long interstate trips, but I get 28.5mpg on the interstate at 80mph.
We have logged 32,000 miles in the past year and have only one problem. The shifter was prematurely worn and would not let the ignition key release from the switch. It was fixed under warranty....read morehide

For the money, I'd give it a thumbs up. The things I don't like are that console taking up so much space. The front would have gaubs of leg room but for that. The cup holders and window switches are in odd locations. Would be nice if it had anti-lock brakes. Appears to be not easily serviceable in a lot of ways...but on the flip side there doesn't appear to be a lot to service anyway.
I do like the fuel economy, the ease of getting in and out, and the versatility buy virtue of the fold down seats.
Would have liked to buy a panel, but needed the rear seat for car pool. Felt a little claustrophobic in the panel too, but would have sprang for it anyway if it had the rear seating because they look so darn cool....read morehide

This is my 3rd review, at 2 week, 2 months & now almost a year. I love it! The gas is easy on my wallet, the town driving is over 30 mpg. I get over 400 miles on a tank. I can pass everything on the Nevada highways easily, although it looks like a cartoon when I pass a PT Cruiser. I also have noticed as winter as hit here in the high Sierras, it handles EXCELLENTLY on ice & snow , and very little wind disturbance. The mirrors are very adjustable, so even though I had neck surgery, I can safely have visibility. I just have to be sure to use cruise control so I avoid those pesky speeding tickets! Great car! I had a chevy geo prism for 12 years, gave it to my son. I suspect I'll keep this cute blue car even longer. Oh yeah... did I mention that it likes to go fast??? When I pass a semi or motor home, it is like all of a sudden over 90 mph LOLOL...read morehide

My family and I love this car, it has more room than it looks, not to bad on power!

I am absolutly 100% happy with my 2008 HHR. I would recommend this car to everyone. The ride is like a luxury car with the space of an SUV. Lots of head room and lots of leg room.

Overall I love this car. Unless you drive the SS first hand you can't even imagine how much of "drivers" car this really is. Power is very good, handling is exceptional, brakes are very capable and tyhe fuel economy is unbeatable. What other car can offer you 260hp/260lb torque and get you 32+mpg on the highway and 27 around town? Don't believe the window sticker, this car is one of the few that can get better gas mileage than what is listed. The car also provides a lot of functionality with all seats folding flat, integrated bluetooth and hand-free phone via OnStar. Pioneer Stereo is very good with plenty of power. Trust me, just go drive an SS and you will be hooked. The other HHR models are more abount finctionality versus driving experience....read morehide

I love this car! I chose this over the other models because the window controls are more convient. In the LS model I had to readjust my seating and take my eyes off of the road to lower or raise the windows.
Fuel economy is okay on this model. I have had it 3 months and drive almost exclusivly in town. I get around 25 mpg.
Because the car sits so low to the ground, you have to be aware of pot holes and speed bumps. But, unlike my previous car (a Saturn Vue) my 18 month old son can climb in and out of it on his own.
If I could change anything, I would make it longer to increase leg room in the back, and wider to increase storage. But, the fold flat seats are a big help!...read morehide

Love the car, wife drives daily but I get to drive it when we are off, I love the looks and that all 4 windows roll down, like our old 92 Suburban did. I would like a remote power tail gate lift - we deliver meals on wheels and the tailgate is somewhat slow to open so it would be nice to press a button to make it quicker. We have the base engine and most of the time it's got enough power for us....read morehide
