The negative reviews on this beauty just blow me away... Let's get it right out in the open. IT'S A CONVERTIBLE CRUISER! It's not a sports car, an overpriced $100k luxury vehicle, a truck to tow 5000 plus pounds, and it's not a fuel economy wonder machine... However, there is a just a little bit of everything here if you choose to find it. With the top down you can't help but sence a bit of a sports car feel with adequate power and handeling for a "heavy" ride... the luxury features within her are plenty full and won't leave you dissapointed, if you must tow the V6 can pull 1000 pounds, as well as the flex fuel V6 allows a clean burning ethanol/gas mixture. There... now you got it all. This baby is simply for the feel of the sun on your shoulders while listening to your favorite tunes and comfortably cruisin' from destination to destination. Yes the 4 banger is a bit sluggish yet still, if you're just an in town, from the club to the beach driver it'll do just fine. I prefer the 6 only for personal satisfaction yet I was originally trying for the 4 to save on the gas. I lOVE this ride and as good as she is to me I think she digs me too... Nice job Chrysler... get USA back in the game!...read morehide

I have had my 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible since July of 2008. I purchased it as a "certified new" being promised that it was just as good as new, but its just as good as waste of my hard earned money. This car has been the biggest regret and disapoinment, as being serviced for over 40 problems and counting. Many problems have been with the windows not shutting or opening( 4 times), trunk popping open on the highway( 2 times), top not going down or opening. It needed a a new lifter on 11/19 which is un-heard of in a new car with such low miles. On 1/2/09 it needed a new radiator because it was leaking and there was no heat in the middle of winter. Today i came out of the store and the windows were half way down again for no reason. I have to call again tomorrow morning because of the current problems with the windows going down, which as a 23 year old woman that is not only a safety issue but things could get stolen out of my car. Chrysler has done nothing to help with the situation and ignoring my complaints and request for help getting rid of this dangerous undependable car. The dealership wants nothing to do with me anymore and they said they have never seen so many problems with a new car, and they have no answers for the issues. The extended warranty guarantees me a car everytime my car is serviced, but the dealership i purchased this car from gives me a very hard time and tries to deny me the right every time i bring it in which has been over 14 times. Last time they said "they were only doing it to be nice to me at the time" If you are going to buy this car (please dont!) research it as much as possible so you dont walk into the night mare that has been on my shoulders for the past 7 months!...read morehide

Would like to see Chyrsler do something about roof leaking. Looks like a very common problem. Other than that, I enjoy driving much more. I get excited about nice weather now. This car came with the touring package with heated leather seats, MyGig, alarm, autostart, fog lights and a system information panel. Most comments to me are sporty, but classy....read morehide

Have inferno red w/blk top and have had now about 3 weeks. Have soft top -- wanted the covertible look, not cracks in roof look. Have had no problem with leaks. Must be hard top problem. This is my 4th Sebring convertible and they get better each time, maybe because I keep getting more gadgets. Have had no problem with room in truck with top down. Plenty of space for my 3-4 bags of groceries. Don't play golf so don't need a lot of space. Don't like the seat belts in the back coming from the center. With top down they flap with the wind. Had to connect them as if a passenger there to keep quiet making it look funny. Have not tried the wind screen yet. Probably won't. It's a convertible, it is supposed to be windy!!!! As stated before, the trunk lid is very heavy. When open is high and hard to grasp and pull down. Sometimes have to slam a couple times to get closed.
Basically very happy with car....read morehide

This is a great little car. It combines the best of both worlds: a hardtop And a convertible. I have the inferno red and the paint looks great and is flawless.
It really is a two-seater though. The backseat will fit "small" people. It's well-made (no squeaks, leaks or rattles) but the trunk lid IS heavy. With the top down, there is room in the trunk for thin items (~6") under the roof as well as some larger items behind it. It will manage a set of golf clubs with the top down too.
Contrary to some comments, the roof has never leaked on my car (a good way to test it is through a car wash).
Beware of unscupulous dealers though. With this car being in high demand, 2 of 3 dealers in my area (Vegas) expected to charge a $2K premium (over list) for the hard top. I told them that I hoped the car tasted good on their dinner plate because I have never paid list for a car let alone above it. Needless to say, I found a dealer who didn't charge a premium for it.
Overall, I am VERY happy with the car. I have ~3K miles on it so it's still "new" but it rides well, handles ok (for the extra weight), gets good gas mileage (~26 mph, mixed driving) and turns heads....read morehide

I have a new 2008 Sebring Touring with 4000 miles and an all around nice car, but then all the fun is taken away by a noisy shift transition. It sounds like a standard shift with automatic transmission. I am very disappointed and looking to try and make some kind of change. I had 2004 Sebring Convertible LXI with the same engine and it was no where near this muscle sounding car. I thought I was buying another adult convertible, but this car sounds more like what a 16 year old hot rod would love.
Sadly disappointed....read morehide

I had my 2008 Sebring Touring for 5 months. I very satisfied with my purchase. The ride is smooth and easy to handle on the highway. Since I'm 6-1 I need leg room it fits me just perfect when I drive. I love the sebring and will be a Chrysler customer again when I'm ready to re-purchase.
