The 2008 Dodge Magnum SXT is an overall Excellent vehicle. This is not your father's station wagon. Sleek elegant lines combined with flared fender wells, a mean looking facia, dark tinted windows, 17" standard 5 spoke rims, a powerful V-6 engine, and a low to the ground stance make the Magnum a 5 door 5 passenger roadster. Gas milage was not great until i changed the exhaust and air filter, now 22 miles/gal on highway

When i started looking for a vehicle i was dead set on buying a truck but then the gas prices went thru the roof. So i found the MAGNUM while surfing the internet, i went to the Chicago auto show and it had lots of room for my 6'6" legs as well my 2 x 4 lumber when i had a home project. I have the 5.7 Hemi with a cold air intake and CatBack exhaust and get 20-24 miles per gallon. But i think the MD engine is great and smart for all motor companies to look into utilizing. The best thing is how great it looks i have the black RT with all the options and i watch heads turn all the time from 20-70 year olds. I bought mine 2 years ago and now it has 60,000 plus miles. I travel with her all of the time and it's the most comfortable wagon. I've rented any car you can think of and this is the most comfortable. I have the small engine, base model, and it gets great gas mileage for this class. Better than renting an SUV, and this wagon hauls a bunch of stuff. Maintenance is cheap, just do regular maintenance and she runs and runs and runs. It's sexy too....read morehide

Had my Maggie now 2 years , four months. Purchased new with 24 miles on it. Been using synth oil since day one and avg around 18 miles a gallon w/ @ 21-22 hwy.. The car has just been the best overall rounded , reliable, character car one could ever own. When I need a sports car, she's there... When I need a truck - she feels all that. Very good overall family car too if you need that. AWD has never failed and the car has never lost the road ever. I intend to keep my maggie until the wheels fall off. Safest feeling thing I've ever driven. Oh - did I mention it's pretty fast too....read morehide

I have always owned a truck or an SUV. I bought a used 2005 SXT with leather seats, sunroof, and some other options reserved for the SRT. I have had it for just over a year, and I love this car. I sold my 2006 Ram quad cab Hemi as it was getting 14 mpg. I thought the Magnum would be the perfect vehicle to 'downsize' into, and I was right. I have not had any problems at all. I'm 6'6", have lots of leg room, and good visibility. I have seen reviews about poor visibility, and the Magnums have come under fire with poor performance reviews, but I don't see why. I have been getting just over 25 mpg mostly with city driving. I hope Dodge brings them back, and markets them better. It's a great unique car!...read morehide

Breathtaking acceleration, great looks, great for hwy cruising, hauling ginormous amts. of stuff.

Fun to drive quotient and practicality outweigh poor gas mileage.

Good in inclement weather, has bust loose power when you need it and can get decent mpg when you don't slog it.

I purchased an 07 SXT earlier this year, used, with a little over 13k on odometer. Great car, I love it. It's an excellent car for family or singles. Plenty of room. Spacious trunk with dropdown rear seats. No problems with it. Only wish I had the R/T or SRT-8 for more power. I don't think Dodge promoted this car enough. Accidental down shift due to shift lever sideways motion to change gears.

Great car! Zero quality problems! Hauls like a suv and drives like a sports car. It is a very comfortable ride that fits a driver 5' tall or 6'5'' behind the wheel. It is a great value for the price. Especially now. Dodge will be sorry it let this one go.

Very good on fuel, big car ride, smooth, get lots of compliments on how good it looks

The rear window take a little while getting use to, but once you do, you will appreicate it when backing up, because you will know exactly how close you are to the vehicle or object behind you, when you take a quick look over your right shoulder, to see what on your right side, your can see everything, there are no blind spots, visibilty is awesome, this vehicle handles great....read morehide

The gas mileage is a bit low. But, what do you expect for a 6.1 Hemi? It's always fun messing with other sports cars. They don't expect the low grumble of the exaust note when you use the Auto stick mode and blow doors off a lot of other cars. Most people don't think something as big and heavy as a Magnum SRT8 can move like it does. Always puts a smile on my face every time a drive it....read morehide
