It is a beautiful vehicle, the 4 wheel drive works great in the snow, but with only 800 miles on the vehicle, I noticed a "knock" coming from the front end, it sounds like a rod knock coming from the engine. Took it to the dealer, they hear the knock but cannot tell where it is coming from. Chrysler told them it is "Normal" for the 4.0 liter engine. I find it hard to believe, because my wife's new Grand Caravan has the same engine and you dont hear that knock. Looks like I am in for a fight with Chrysler!!...read morehide

For a small powerful SUV this gets good mileage I am getting 18 in the city 21 on the highway. Alot of fun to drive loaded with leather fun little truck

I have had my Nitro since May and I have taken a family trip with two kids and three adults to Tenn and back to Orlando Fl. I have nothing bad to say about this car!! I love it.

My comment is about the 2007 nitro I bought only 6 months ago. Since I've had it the tpm has had trouble twice . My car because it's new to the market no one seems to know how to work on it they had to keep it extra days to learn how to fix it. Just last week the tpm was flashing and bells were ringing and I didn't know what to do. After 3 days of that all of a sudden it stopped. I almost wish I had brought something else. Whose idea was to make the sideview mirrors so big? You can't see when you are turning a cornor....read morehide

i found the nitro to be better than the xterra. the high recommended fj crusier doesn't compare in looks or acceleration. all for a price of under 30,000 it even has 20" wheels and tires.
