Very good looks for a Dodge! Needs better fuel econoy, though. But wow! THE POWER!

The Dodge Viper is a current pop culture icon. It's everywhere, from movies (Wanted), video games (Gran Turismo series, Need for Speed), and scale models. Sometimes I find it hard to judge a car because most of the time an automobile I judge is a turkey dinner (Aztek, anyone?). But the all new Dodge Viper SRT-10 is for say, a dessert cherry pie. No matter with these silly writings. The Dodge V10 engine is a bit outlandish for a sub-muscle car, but who cares when you can zooooooooooooom from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds (Tested on closed course, do not attempt.)? Well, I sure as heck do. I am a performance guy. I generally do not care about looks of a car, but if it can go 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, it's my car, not yours. Get at the end of the line. Simply awestruck am I to see that Dodge has matured so well in the car segment as this car has proved. Yes, it's a two seater, but LOOK at the thing! LOOK at the engine! I rest my peace. I just got the 08 Viper, and was slightly hesistant after reading several mixed reviews. My main concern was that I could not handle the 600 horsepower. Previously I owned a 300 HP Porsche (that I thought was relatively powerful).
After driving the Viper for 2 days, I felt totally comfortable in it. You CAN use this as a daily driver, if you dont mind putting on the miles. Extremely comfortable seats, smooth ride, NOT as loud as I thought. Handling is amazing, I never once felt out of control. As long as you dont slam the gas while turning a sharp curve (bad idea in any car), its pretty hard to get into trouble. Know your limits, and you will love this car!!! I have people stopping at lights (even on the other side of the rode) to stick their heads out... and see their jaws drop! The new scoop vents in the hood design is a huge hit. Really sets this year out over the previous ones....read morehide

braking and control of the car if something happens wont work. It also has no storage space.

This car is fast, it is a supercar beats the Corvett every time. It proabaly is one of the top 5 fastest cars used today. The viper may seem a lot of money but if you buy a Lamo. whichn is about $1mill. and is not very fast compared to the viper, than the viper's high price doesn't seem so high. Itainlean sports cars are in the millions, and they are kinda fast but just are mostly for show, the viper is fast and looks nice, but it on show and it looks ready to ride off onto the streets. Right now GM is still looking a way to make a corrvett that can beat the viper, which will never happen. According to road & track the viper is the fastest unehanced car to go from 0-200 ever. If someone had a viper in a small town people would be amazed, you might need a garage, because people are gonna stare at it as tjhey pass by, and crash. It's a wonder the viper doesn't have a WARNIG: Long term staring might cause eye pain or other conditions. So if you want a car that is fast, looks nice and is really really, really, really ,really, really, coooooooooooool! than get a dodge viper. The vehicle has no cons. Dodge succeded in creating the ultimate performance vehicle.

I have neen in the Viper on a drifting course and the vehicle can make your heart pump. It Launched to 60m.p.h. in less than 4 seconds and handed like a dream sliding completly sideways. The handling keeped the vehicle from completly spinning out of control. The seats are very comfortable and will keep you placed in all turns. The instument panel was very well designed and easy to use. The body styling was very aggressive and the performance matches what you would expect. Overall, the vehicle was perfect....read morehide

I have size 14 feet and they don't fit!

If you are a basketball player with above a size 13 shoe and are taller than 6 feet --- find another car! You simply can't drive the thing. I tried to operate the clutch and would get my feet to close to each other causing a slip or worse, an unwanted acceleration. This car is perfect for the average guy who's five foot five, 150 pounds and has a size nine shoe. He could rule the road....read morehide

Comfort not as sweet as the car itself, size of car is mediocure

The ever famous Viper has even gotten better! You have 85 more horsepower, a quicker acceleration, and more powerful looks. More people would like this car. But the Viper is still a little small, plus the seats are kind of uncomfortable. Other than that, the Viper is a best buy for the 2008 year!

i dont have one of these, but i was able to drive one before and it was AWESOME!! almost got pulled over by going fast... :^) very smooth ride. seats not very comfy though... but if could afford one, i would definently get one
