This was my first car and I love it. The turning on the car is great (on my car at least). The car is also a chick magnet and all my friends want to drive with me. The car can go fast but it is easy to control. I would recommend this car to beginners and expert drivers. There are many things that you can add to the car if you want to. It can also out drive an average cop car (just kidding). One of the biggest down sides is that you can only fit two people comfortably; however, if your friend want to ride in the car they will not care. Overall an amazing car....read morehide

I have had nothing but fun with my mustang! And the people that get bad mileage must gun it all the time! I average about 18 in city 21 combined and have gotten 26 on the freeway at a constant 75mph.

A solid reliable car that is very cheap to maintain, insure and fun to drive. It has loads of power, great standard stereo/CD, handles like a dream and gets good fuel economy for a heavy safe car.

I won't say this is the best car but in its price range it might be the most fun. The price, performance and looks fit the world I live in to a T. That is the real world, not fantasy land where price is no object are there are no speed limits. The complaints I see here are silly; its a retro car, not an attempt at a techie transportation appliance. Mine has 36k and looks and drives as new. Want a smoother ride, comfy back seat, "refinement" and dignity? Get a lexus for more than twice the money and no fun, but as one reviewer said the mustang is "undiginified". I've owned several sports cars and a couple Mercedes and I'll takes this over any of them....read morehide

Good news first.
Fantastic V8 bellow, and looks pretty evil too.
Bad news.
The engine produces such a tiny amount of power for its size. And for a V8 fastback, its painfully slow. The suspension in the mustang hasnt changed since the stone age which means riding an actual mustang would be more comfy. It feels like your riding on rocks the whole time. The axle at the back is fixed, which is technology used from the model T. The brakes are horrible and so is the steering...and the aerodynamics, and the mustangs weight rivals most vehicles that start with the name "U.S.S.".
Its fuel economy is poor and the interior was probably made out of paper.
All in all this is a horrible car, and would not wish it on my worst enemies...read morehide

The longer I own this car the more I love it. The price to performance ratio is hard to beat. The aftermarket support is unrivaled. Its tight on back seat leg room but the bucket seat comfort more than makes up for it. Still turns heads. Insurance and regularly scheduled maintenance is very affordable. I purchased my 2008 mustang v6 4.0L about 6 months ago. I still love this car! I only have 2 real complaints about the car. I have enjoyed adding aftermarket exhaust and parts to the car. Get compliments everywhere I go! Highly recommend!!

I love Mustangs. This is my 7th. I have a 2008 Pony V-6 and just got a great deal on a 2008 GT Premium. Love that employee pricing. $11,000 from msrp (including rebates). There is no better value out there.
The car is fast but not brutal. It handles well, better than most. it sounds good, looks great, and is just fun to drive. Decent gas mileage (manual).
This car was delivered perfect, and shows just how good American workers can put together a car. I am happy to buy American....read morehide

I had two premium base model convertiblrs I loved, but this is the greatest. Performance white/with black top gets compiiments galore. Has hood scope, 18" shiny aluminum wheels, rear spoiler.
coming or going it shouts muscle care. I love it! It's a keeper!!!

I average 21.3 miles per gallon of gas which with my heavy foot is quite good.

The cabin in a little too tight for my large frame, but it's worth it.

I was remarried last year (formerly a widower) and my wife talked me into driving my Monte Carlo SS over to the Ford dealer to look at Mustangs. She owned over 12 Mustangs in her life since she first bought one in 1965.

We test drove a 2007 Mustang Pony and it was not a good experience. It rattled, no guts, no handling cornering and not a good ride. Then my wife said let's go back and test drive a GT. I thought it was going to be a waste of time. Boy, was I ever wrong!

My wife drove it first and had me hanging on for my dear life. She took corners on the highway that made my knuckles white! She finally gave up control and let me drive and I fell in love. The 4.6 engine put out over 300 horsepower and gave me the biggest thrill in my life! We went back to the dealer and ordered a GT.

We ordered a GT Premium, convertible, alloy in color with red leather seats. Now we joined the WI Early Mustangers Car Club out of Milwaukee and go on several overnight cruises each year. We had 30 Mustangs go on our last cruise. What a sight driving together down the highway! Mustangs ranging from 1965's to brand new ones.
