I had two premium base model convertiblrs I loved, but this is the greatest. Performance white/with black top gets compiiments galore. Has hood scope, 18" shiny aluminum wheels, rear spoiler.
coming or going it shouts muscle care. I love it! It's a keeper!!!

I was remarried last year (formerly a widower) and my wife talked me into driving my Monte Carlo SS over to the Ford dealer to look at Mustangs. She owned over 12 Mustangs in her life since she first bought one in 1965.
We test drove a 2007 Mustang Pony and it was not a good experience. It rattled, no guts, no handling cornering and not a good ride. Then my wife said let's go back and test drive a GT. I thought it was going to be a waste of time. Boy, was I ever wrong!
My wife drove it first and had me hanging on for my dear life. She took corners on the highway that made my knuckles white! She finally gave up control and let me drive and I fell in love. The 4.6 engine put out over 300 horsepower and gave me the biggest thrill in my life! We went back to the dealer and ordered a GT.
We ordered a GT Premium, convertible, alloy in color with red leather seats. Now we joined the WI Early Mustangers Car Club out of Milwaukee and go on several overnight cruises each year. We had 30 Mustangs go on our last cruise. What a sight driving together down the highway! Mustangs ranging from 1965's to brand new ones.
We are extremely happy with our purchase!...read morehide

I have had my 2008 Mustang GT convertible for three months now and could not be happier. It is a pleasure to drive and has plenty of power and at the same time decent fuel economy. I get 20 mpg combined and uses regular gas.
I can tell it's intimidating on the road because Audis, BMW's, Porsches, Lexus', etc. are always trying to get past me. Had a ton of compliments on the looks and for the money, there's nothing better.
I have had many cars over the years and this one is one of the most fun to drive. I drove GTO's and hot muscle cars in the 60's and the Mustang GT is right up there with those (only better with 4 wheel disc brakes, TCS, shaker stereo, 18" chrome wheels, etc.).
You will not regret buying one of these....read morehide

I just purchased my GRABBER ORANGE '08 PREMIUM MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE and I LOVE it!! I traded my Mean Yellow '07 Pontiac Solstice for it. I really missed my Solstice at first, but now.....NO COMPARISON!! The quality of the new "Stang" alone is amazing!! I will keep my Mustang.....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!...read morehide

I bought my 2007 new amd love it. No problems in 21k miles, tires are still holding up. Better than expected quality, no problems, Ford did a great job on this car. Better tham expected fuel mileage (20 mpg in town, regular gas). I love it !!

Never thougt I would ever own a Ford. But this years Mustang turned my head around. Took one for a test drive and I was sold. I love this car. I get the feeling of confidence behind the wheel. The response is amazing. Go USA!

This is an awesome car!! I just purchased mine a few weeks ago, A Mustang GT V-8, Convertible Premium, Vista Blue Metalic with charcoal int. black top and all the options. I absolutely love my new car! Now I am in the process of adding on more power and appearance to make my ride different from everyone elses. I can't say enough about this car and the compliments I've received. This is truely the best car for the money, sporty, yet comfortable, powerful, and so much you can do with it. I am now in the process of putting on custom graphics to make it stand out even more from everyone else....read morehide

I have owned many cars (15+) and this Pony and my '78 Datsun 280Z were the best I ever drove. For the money, this is by far the most fun and fastest car on the road. Attention getter too.
A convertible with this much truck room is fantastic as well if you play golf.
The back seats are very crammped for adults but since you are having so much fun who cares?????...read morehide

Almost as fast as my 1966 Shelby GT-350, handles better, much better traction & brakes, very good automatic transmission, much more comfortable to drive for long periods of time, but still has the exhaust growl and a slightly softer ride even though the handling is comparable. I've owned 10 Mustangs, and this is by far the best they've ever built. I can't wailt until the dealers get over ripping customers off for $10-$20,000 over sticker for the new Shelbys-then I'll get one, too in addition to this car....read morehide

WOW! Sums up my first 3 months in a 2008 GT/CS Convertible.
To let you know my bias, I've been driving Mustangs since 1987, but this is my first mustang beyond the 1993 model year, so my comparison is between a brand new 2008 and the 15 year old 1993 that it replaces.
This Mustang is incredibly smooth and tight...it feels like a luxury car. No clanking, rattling, etc.
Acceleration is incredible...but the thing is so smooth I can't feel it...I can only tell how fast I'm going by looking at the speedometer!
I'm used to hearing rattle sounds coming from a Mustang convertible, but this one sounds solid...top up or down.
Gas mileage is decent...I'm getting about 22mpg...while still enjoying rapid acceleration from stop signs and lights. With top down, it only seems to cost about 1mpg when running at 70mph.
The engine has more of a European sound than that of American Muscle that the 302 has...but that's not necessarily bad...just different.
This is by far the most refined stock Mustang I've ever seen...and is a pure joy to drive.
The only Convertible that compared in price with the mustang was the Toyota Camry Solara, with had a V-6, Less Horsepower, Front-wheel drive....just a whole lot less for the same price...or more!
If you like mustangs, the new car is fantastic. And with 300hp on the smaller V8....makes it easier to give up my 302.
By the way...the 3:55 gears make it even more fun, and I'm still getting decent mileage for a 300hp V8 engine! (Yeah, I know you don't ask about mileage on a Mustang...but unfortunately it did play a role in the overall decision on whether or not to buy it).
To order it over again, I think I would pass on the bolt-on GT appearance package. The non-functional hood scoop just bugs me when I look at it from the driver's seat. However, it does give the car a TOUGH look...I've received compliments from people ranging from an 8 year old girl to men in their 60's. So, the car is an eye-catcher with the GT kit!...read morehide
