I won't say this is the best car but in its price range it might be the most fun. The price, performance and looks fit the world I live in to a T. That is the real world, not fantasy land where price is no object are there are no speed limits. The complaints I see here are silly; its a retro car, not an attempt at a techie transportation appliance. Mine has 36k and looks and drives as new. Went down to Port St. Lucie to see the Mets for spring training and I thought "Let's rent a convertible". The most affordable one was the Mustang. As a true Chevy guy I was reluctant but was very happy when bus stopped in front of the car.
It really has brought back the true Mustang heritage. Gone is the sweet and innocent version of the late 90's and the juiced up, 'roid head 5.0 GT's of the 80's. With class and style Ford was able to bring back the true pony car that was the 69 Mustang.
If it not for the fact that Chevy is bring back the Camaro, I would probably on line at a Ford dealership to sign at the bottom line.
I will look back at my time in South Florida in Feb '08 with joy, remembering driving the palm lined boulevards with my Mustang convertible....read morehide
