I purchased my 2008 mustang v6 4.0L about 6 months ago. I still love this car! I only have 2 real complaints about the car. I have enjoyed adding aftermarket exhaust and parts to the car. Get compliments everywhere I go! Highly recommend!!

I owned an 05 premium coupe and an 06 Impala SS at same time. Found myself driving V6 Stang more. Sold Impala. 05 gave her life protecting me from large deer at 75 mph. Bought a used 06 GT which is a hoot, but I am finding out was probably abused. Replacing with an 08 clone of the 05 + sirrus radio. New GT about $7,500 more and the temptation to speed is less in the V6. Even for an old geezer, the Stangs are great....read morehide

08 torch red premium V6. Blacked out lights all the way round. Leather interior with the shaker 500. Smooth ride but 18 in wheels would be nice. Dual exhaust and ECM flash will give better throttle response. Right. 19 mpg around town and 24-28 mpg highway depending on my habits. Tower strut bar yeilds better handling just like a Bullitt. With a cold air intake and the above mentioned upgrades you can boost your HP from 210 stock up to 240 hp depending on your setup. Underdrive pulleys will help reduce engine drag thus freeing up hp in the engine. Oh i could go on and on but you get the point. GT's are great but i don't wanna race you to the next gas station. V6's are cheaper to insure so what else can i say. Get a premium package when you buy, its worth the money. DO NOT GET PAINT PROTECTION. Have a shop do it later.Louvers for the back window are next along with a front chin spoiler.You know you want one so go get one, just not Sound Ford in renton WA, Shady dealer for sure....read morehide

I owned a 2006 mustang until I had to sell it for a family car. If ford has not changed anything and if they dont change anything I would buy another tommarow.

Appearance: The car literally turns heads, and looks pretty expensive.
Power: I get alot of power out of it even though its only a V6. I break 100 mph almost every day.Wish i had GT though, b/c i think the computer chip prevents the car from going above 110 or so, in 4th gear around 3500 rpm it stops accelerating. but then again there isn't room to go that fast anyways

Sound System: the 500 shaker and the 1000 shakers are pretty weak. I put in polk momo speakers and subs, with 2 amps totaling about 2000 Watts, and it literally makes the spoiler come looses.

Weight: It is very heavy, so it takes alot to get going thus the poor gas milage (on V6 i get about 18.5-19.5 city). But it also takes alot to stop it. If you put on bigger rims say 18 or 19, you should really upgrade those brakes...read morehide

I currently own 3 Mustangs but this one is a blast to drive. My old 69 Fastback had a 302 and this car is probably quicker. We bought Black on Black with leather. Pony Pack and Safety Pack. I consider this car to be a good value for the money. The 6cyl 5spd auto has throaty sound and nice power range. It helps too with gas prices going crazy lately.
I strongly recommend getting the ambient light package. It looks great and everyone who has seen ours likes it. Also I leave the color selections to my wife giving her a task as I cruise. Seriously, get it you won't be sorry.

Sure most of us would love a 500 Shelby but reality for most working adults and families is we need to consider gas mileage. I must say this Mustang has nice pulling power much more than I would expect from a 6 cylinder. It for sure won't beat my cleavland but it sure won't drink like it either.

I have owned the V6 Prem Pony Pkg for a week now and it replaced a older Camaro. Ford has got a great thing going with this car right now. This car was unveiled when the Camaro Concept was and while I am a huge GM fan I really do not believe the Camaro will ever make it to the production line, that said lets talk about the Mustang. The car handles great but its not a V-8 although it drinks like one. It handles like a sports car. There is very little interior noise while driving and I am very happy about purchasing this car. I have a Torch Red with Tan Leather insides; this is a very nice car and well worth the price I paid. Between Ford and the the generous trade in and lower sticker I have a car that started at almost 24k and left the lot for 17k. Well worth the value but I rated this as a 4 star because not everyone will be able to do the dealing that I did with my sales person. I also am against the dealer installed radio and upgrades but the Shaker 500 is a killer system. It actually is loads better than the Bose system that came with my 4th Gen Camaro. Bottom line I love the car, the styling, great after market parts availability, its not a 300hp car but for most situations its enough....read morehide

This car reminds my of both the 64 and 67, both of which came out when I was to young to buy a car. I have the Pony with leather and I love it! The car is well balanced and feel solid. The V6 has as much power as the previous generations V* and will pleasently surprise you the first time you drive it. The automatic is smooth and seamless also. I bought the V6 w/ optional Pony Premium package. All the bells and whistles. Leather interior, pony grille and side emblems, sweet 17" polished wheels, shaker 500 stereo system. I could not be happier! I had a 65 Stang a few years back and the feel and view from inside the 08 bears a great resemblance to the original. Ford definitely knew what they were doing by going back to the glory days of the Pony....read morehide
