the 2008 yukon is a great truck on the outside i love the way it looks, but the interior could be a LOT better, the seats are uncomfortable to me,i also think the yukon is very noisy compared to other vehicles owned.the reliability is great except one problem i had the key fob stop working so i had to unlock my doors manually and the power liftgate had to be opened from the door, but my gm dealer replaced it free of charge.also i own a yukon with the 5.3 V8 and ive only been getting around 17mpg highway and the ads on t.v claim 20mpg so thats about my only complaint with the engine.overall this yukon isnt the best suv ive owned but surely not the worst either....read morehide

Warning: before you buy a yukon from GMC, you might want to contact gmc directly and ask them why they won't put out a recall on yukon models when they could potentially have what's called a (cold start engine knock). And no, it doesn't need to be cold for that to happen. And the answer I received from GMC themselves is that it could happen to some GMC & Chevy models and that it would be too expensive to recall. WHAT! I was livid. Nobody wants to pay good money for a nice suv to have it start rattling & making a knocking noice when you turn on the car. Believe me, I do love the Yukon and probably would of stayed with them forever, but hopefully if you do go with them, may you have luck on your side................read morehide

This is an overall nice vehicle.....although I wish it was a more comfortable ride for long trips. It eats alot of gas (but that is to be expected in an SUV). I like the a/c and heater vents that are even in the third row and that all of the back seats can be moved for more space in the back. It has good horsepower and handles well. I drove it in 50 mph wind gusts for a few hundred miles one day and it did really well. I wish I had chosen leather (we have the dark grey cloth interior). The dual headrest DVD players are great for the kiddos and easy for them to use while we are driving. Plenty of cupholder space (there are even cup holders in the driver and front passenger doors). XM sattelite radio is nice, onstar turn by turn directions are great also....its alot easier than driving through Fort Worth TX with a city map in bumper to bumper traffic. Very good rear view mirrors, there is very little blind spot. Great for towing the speed boat. We have owned ours for almost 4 months...read morehide

We have owned this lemon for over 18 months and mechanically it is a piece of junk. We have had electrical problems from the start and today they haven't been fixed. To add insult to injury, our transmission burned out at around 19K miles and the dealer first said ok we should take it back after all your problems. Was GM wiling to listen to its own dealers? NO. They put in a new transmission and despite the electrical problems that have not been fixed since we purchased the car they said we should try and find another dealer to fix it. So much for the mark of excellence....read morehide

This is the worst vehicle I have ever purchases. I have had more problems with the steering than I can count, The differential and transfer case have had to be rebuilt and the transmission is making clanking noises during shifting. the ac has gone out and so on and so forth. I am currently in arbitration over this poorly made vehicle. I have a 1990 GMC pickup with over 200k on it and it has had far less done to it than my Yukon has in less than 36k....read morehide

I've owned it for less than a week and I love driving it. The new body style was a big draw for me, and I love the interior. The car is very quite, and is comfortable to drive. I handles like a car, and doesn't sway when turning. The 3rd row is a bit small but I usually am not using it. The other features outweigh the small 3rd row for me....read morehide

this truck is amazing! i've hit 20 mpg in 4wd (don't know how- its soo big!), and its unbelievably quiet. This is a great SUV for camping, working, and going out for a night on the town. This is one of the best investments I've ever made.
