2008 GMC Yukon Denali 4WD is a great vehicle. Sure, it does not get great gas mileage, but entertainment costs money. We feel the ride, power, and safety are well worth the gas. Sierra Mountains to Lake Tahoe, please. It eats up the mountains, and it holds true to the road. Power seat, heated seats, heated stearing wheel, DVD, Bose, Power all over the place. The best part about buying a Denali are the deals, deals, deals. They are read tagging everything for quick sale....read morehide

I moved into this vehicle from my Envoy Denali, and what a great ride. With the amount of driving I do, I needed something that was comfortable, had 4WD, plenty of cargo space and can tow more than a canoe. Would I do it again? Yes. If you need towing, cargo space, and decent mpg (I see average of 16/17 city/highway mixed) this is the vehicle....read morehide

i love my 2008 Yukon Denali. It has tons of power and the exhaust note is to die for. The ride is as smooth as any luxury sedan and it handles just like one too. I also owned the 2007 escalade. I traded it in for the denali. The escalade just wasnt the right car for me and i really admire the bullet grille on the denali. The escalade felt out of place in my life because all of my friends and neighbours have mercede's or bmw's and a few have denali's. Also it was to flashy for me to drive even though the denali is still flashy.the ride is the exact same and i dont believe that the denali has less horsepower. there is no diffrence in acceleration. it and the escalade both attract the same amount of attention which can be annoying. i hate it when i go to a store and when you come out people are staring at your car. i caught some guy looking in the window of the denali which freaked my wife out because her purse was on the front seat. Turns out he had a 04 denali and wanted to see the difference. Anyway it already has 5000 miles, no problems, love it. The GPS is dated and there is no bluetooth, yet. The rear entertainment keeps the kids quite and the 20 inch wheels look better than the 22's the escalade had. i found it ammusing the escalade had 22's as a factory option. Guess it is all about excess. The denali gets better fuel economy then my slade did probably because of the wheel size diffrence. im getting now 14.5 city and 19-20.5 highway. pretty good. the slade averaged 11 city and 17-18 highway. i burn less gas when i go on the same trips in the denali and am driving no different....read morehide

I purchased the model new in 2007. Hasn't had one fault with it. The interior is flawless. Extremely comfortable, makes long road trips seem like half the distance. I purchased it fully loaded with everything except the power running boards. All options work well. The Nav system is a little dated but the touchscreen is a must have, very simple to control everything. Keep in mind, this is the older Corvette engine, it loves to run!...read morehide

i love my new white on black Denali. i traded in my 2004 escalade for it and GM has greatly improved everything from 2004. The escalade was a great car, but in my opinion for 2004 it had boring styling and wasn't worth 64K. I would of bought a Denali in 2004, but the dealer couldn't find me the one i wanted. The new escalade is to obnoxious and i didn't need people to have any false assumptions of me when i drive down the street. The denali is still showy but i feel that it isn't over the top.About an 8/10 for eye catching. Still people stare at you but i don't mind it because i feel confident in the big bad denali. I highly recomend the Denali over any other car. it is great and the gas mileage is good (for a 6000 pound suv), i get 20 mpg on the highway and the third row seats are very heavy. it doesn't bother me to remove them but when i put them in or one of my children does, it takes a while to install. The Denali fits in well in the LA scenery with all the other rich and famous people's denalis, bimmers, mbenzs lambos, ect. overall it is a great vehicle and if you want a vehicle with power, luxury and eye catching looks, consider the Proffesional Grade Denali. i would recomend adding aftermarket HID bulbs which help alot at night although the stock halogen are bright and tinting the front windows 20% because people are nosey....read morehide

I had my 2008 AWD Denali for two months now. I am so far pleased with the purchase. Since gas prices are going up, this SUV is not for a family or person on a budget. It takes only premium fuel, and you cannot put regular or middle unleaded. But if you can afford this mighty beast, then you will enjoy a nice ride, and very comfortable seats. I do like the backup camera, my bluetooth option, and the DVD can play when in park, so if you are waiting for someone, this Denali can get you occupied. I wished they had a cooler for black leather seats, since the weather is very hot in southern california. They have seat warmers, but I wish they can have the seat cooler option like the Escalade. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice! Also, HID lighting would be a plus. You can get an upgrade, like I did. HID's should be standard across the board for a luxury SUV like this....read morehide

I've been driving my 2008 4WD Dark Slate Metallic with Black interior Denali for a month now. I didn't think I'd ever drive anything as "fancy" as a Denali but GMC was having 0% financing plus we got a great deal so we couldn't pass it up. I traded a 2005 Chevy Tahoe - which I loved driving. Even though the Tahoe was equipped with the Autoride, the Denali is 100x better driving. It's just so smooth. Even though I'm a woman and don't usually notice these things, the exhaust sounds so cool.
The navigation and DVD are very easy to use. Nice improvements from the 2005. I don't like that there aren't any controls on the DVD in the rear. They either have to use the remote or have driver or front passenger do it. Minor complaint. I do like that you can watch the movie on the Nav screen while the truck is in park.
My Tahoe had arm rests in the front seats - this doesn't. The center counsel is raised so you can rest your arm there, but the arm rest was definitely better. Again, minor complaint. I like that the rear captain's chairs recline (not flat but enough for a 9 year old to get super comfy). I think I could easily do a cross-country trip and not tire of the comfort.
The third row still doesn't fold flat. It is much easier to get in and out but they are still SUPER heavy. I try to keep them in or out - too bulky to have to move around a lot.
This truck is sharp looking too. I just like looking at it - inside and out. My personal challenge is to keep it clean with the two savages I like to call my 6 and 9 year old I tow around with me.
Fuel economy isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's a touch worse than my Tahoe, but that was selective 4WD while this is all-time 4WD. I do a combination of highway and city driving (I put 1400 miles on in the month I've had it) and have averaged 17 MPG....read morehide

I just got my 2008 Black/Black Yukon Denali fully loaded with Nav, Rear Entertainment System, Sunroof, Rear Cam, 20-inch chrome wheels, etc. etc. It is an extremely nice luxury truck. There's nothing not to like about it. I also have a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and its essentially the same vehicle!

This is the best SUV you can buy. It has it all from power to handling to comfort. love the exhaust note. Is so much better than the escalade. It doesnt feel embarrassing to drive like the escalade does. My friend who just bought an escalade feels this way and has stated this as well. it also isnt over the top in "Bling", just the right amount. I have two kids and they love the dvd player, navigation, power liftgate, ect. Well on the road they love to count how many people look at them. lol. I highly recomend this vehicle and especially in white on black. The white exterior always looks clean and same with the black interior. Also the 20" rims look great. Best value for the money....read morehide
