Great Hummer H3!

by Tony D from Orange County, Ca. (7/10/08)
Pros:Great ride, Manuverability, Quietness, sound system, sun-roof, Cool looks, great interior.
Cons:Gas is okay. I get about 15 around town and about 19 on the highway

This is a great vehicle. I have owned my Hummer H3 for four months and I love it. I love the ride, the comfort, and the safe feeling the vehicle provides. It's got cool looks too. My wife, who is 6 ft. tall, loves the roominess in the cabin. She also loves the vehicle as well. If you are thinking of getting a mid-size SUV, get this one. You won't be sorry.

Love my H3X, wouldnt live without it

by carly from skippack, pa (6/28/08)
Pros:fuel economy is good, comparable to most mid size suv's, love this truck, navagation is tops

I have the Sonoma Red metallic H3X, all gussyed up with the same color hard spare tire cover, the chrome grill, side steps, extra trim.
Everybody loves this car, and have 6 friends who went and purchased one. This is a very solid, well made vehicle, and is my second H3,
had a Yukon Denali before the 1st H3, the H3 is a much better vehicle and priced better than the Denali, handles better, feels better.
When you drive this, you feel all four wheels on the ground, i know that sounds funny, but you feel confidantly protected by the feel of this vehicle, it has awesome handling and drive.

very good vehicle

by Noel from Colorado Springs, CO (5/26/08)
Pros:comfy seats w/ lateral support, off roadability, safety, on-star and voice activated cell phone
Cons:242 HP for 5 cylinder seems still sluggish, no storage, gas mileage

Traded in a 2006 Jeep Liberty. Definitely much better ride than the Liberty. The vehicle looks good in and out. Interior is actually much better than european and japanese interior. Simple and not too much buttons. Only driven 500 miles. The engine feels sluggish and it screams when going up hill and constantly looking for the right gear. My 2006 Jeep Commander (V6, 210 HP) feels much quicker and has more power compare to H3. I get over 400 miles (full tank 19 gallons) on the Commander. I only get about 400 miles (full tank 23 gallons) on the H3. If the H3 gets a V6, it might improve the gas mileage. I think the H3 is too heavy for the 5 cyl. However, with the H3, has better off roadability because of the low end torque, which is where you need it off roading. The H3 has a nice and quiet ride for a leaf spring. I love the seats because they are soft and has a lot of lateral support. It has a good handling because of a wider stance. You can turn in corners and does not tilt. Safety is also a factor (on star, air bags with curtain air bags). Very satisfied with the vehicle specially getting it for $28K w/auto trans and power seat.

The H3 is a very nice SUV

by Dan from Oklahoma (4/20/08)
Pros:Not boxey sounding as you'ld expect : love the ride, suspension is tops, comfortable interior,
Cons:Fuel economy isnt best but what I expected, 16.7 mpg in city

The H3 is what I expected. While the test drive was the seller for me. I did research and test drove other mid size SUV's and Trucks and came back to the H3 everytime. It breathes a little heavy getting on the Highway but it really quiets down once up to cruising speed. I've seen complaints about the gas mileage but it is as good or better than all in its class: expecially with all time 4X4. You can find cheaper units in a 4X2 configuration but when compared to other 4X4 the H3 is for me.

Hummer H3 . . The REAL Off-Road SUV . . .

by Hummer Georgia from Macon,Ga. (2/22/08)
Pros:VERY Safe ! Stands Out in A Crowd ! Drives itself . .
Cons:MPG could be a little better ! Still better than most SUV's

2008 White H3 with Luxury,Adventure and Chrome Packages....Very pleased with every aspect of my H3...I hate that all SUV's look just alike from every maker...The H3 really stands out and turns heads everywhere I go...I have the 3.7 i-5 and it has PLENTY of power for this SUV...

h3

by jack hamlin from denver, colorado (2/21/08)
Pros:looks, badass in snow, top notch off-road, turning radius, torque
Cons:defroster doesn't get the job done, underpowered, weak clutch, STORAGE

i am very happy with this truck overall, the thing is a BEAST in the snow and off-road. we've had a terrible (or great) winter this year in Denver, and this thing is GLUED to the road. Gas milage is actually great compared to other SUV's and cars even. It's a little underpowered, but if you drive it like a big SUV should be driven, and not a little rice-rocket, gas milage seems to stick around an avg of 19/20 mpg.
would highly recommend to others. fun truck.

I love my H3

by rose from san diego, ca (2/19/08)
Pros:Great handling, good looks not so bad gas mileage
Cons:since I have the 1st generation, the power lags a little when you first accelerate on the freeway

I don't care about the negative ratings some people give. I've had my H3 since it first came out and I love my car. I've had nothing but a good running car. With my onstar subscription, I've been able to keep it well-maintained for the past couple of years. It's fun to drive, it makes me feel safe having my toddler in it, It looks great and it does well on the freeway and runs smoothly for a truck. I don't know what people are talking about when they say it is rough riding. One of the best features I love is the sharp turns I can make easily with this car. My hubby's Mitsubishi eclipse can't even turn corners like my H3 can.

Rock Solid transportation, great ride, Love the H3

by George from St Clair Shores, MI (2/13/08)
Pros:Solid, well build, great quality. 17.6 MPG first tank. Great brakes.
Cons:No Heated Mirrors?

I drove the 3.7 and the Alpha and decided to go with the 3.7L 5 cyl. Why? It has no problem keeping up with traffic, I can cruise from Detroit to Boston and back on business in any kind of weather. And I love the sounds that the engine makes. It has an almost diesel-like cadence. Which is unobtrusive and I find rather appealing. No it is not the fasted vehicle out there, but I don't need it to be. Ideally suited to real-world driving. Especially Detroit area Real-world driving where the roads in SE Michigan are in terrible shape.
The vehicle is rock solid, quiet, comfortable. On-Star is a major plus when traveling.
I would have liked heated mirrors and rear seats that fold flat along with more storage for gear. But these are minor complaints in my eyes.
