People are looking for power, not saving their pockets, then buy the V6 or V8!

People want cheap cars with big engines, that's not the reason the Patriot was made for!

It appears the last two reviews are in the wrong place, because they look for power and the Patriot was made to satisfy fuel economy and low budget owners who want a brand new small SUV. I just got my Limited 4x2 that is loaded with every toy the patriot comes with. I will admit, the Al Gore movie got to me and I thought that my 2005 Tahoe was more truck than I needed for myself, girlfriend and two dogs. I went economical and found the Patriot. So far so good. The MPG however is not what they lead you to believe. It has been god aweful hot the last few days (only had the car for a week) and I have ran the AC constantly. The MPG is looking like 21.2. Not the 26 or 27 I was hoping for so maybe when it cools off and I drive without the AC things will get better. Overall the vehicle is a good ride, but if you are big on space and comfortable seats, go with something else. The Nav and sound system are really cool...very impressed with the sound and base, reminds me of my old systems from my racing days. Also, it beats the heck out of my bose tahoe system (really not a very good system in the 2005 model). So if you are looking for something that will get you over 20 mpg, feels like a car (because it is...its the dodge calibur with a jeep body), but has a little more cargo room than a sedan, go take a look at the patriot....read morehide

I am a first time car buyer and the Jeep Patriot was the first car I looked at...did'nt need to look any further. WOULD LIKE A POWERED DRIVER SEAT

I just purchased the limited 4x4 and already have driven it 6,000 kms, the fuel milage is great and the sound system is the best i heard in a factory model to date. This is my first jeep product and i am quite impressed with the features on this unit at under $30,000 canadian thats about 20,000 less than a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with about the same options....read morehide

Better than Honda's CRV in price, features and fuel economy!!!

Jeep Patriot now is the best small SUV in the market because it's price is the lowest in its class and the fuel economy is another best comparable to others like Honda CRV or Toyota's RAV4. Jeep knows how to build it tough and build it right in price, features and quality!
