Purchased As New
I bought a new 2008 in April of 2009 got a great deal.
I have taken it on a trip from Ga. to Missouri the adult
riding in the back was very pleased with the comfort.
I have lots of features I would never have been able to
afford on most cars. Everyone is very impressed by
the Amanti thinking it's a much more expensive car....read morehide

My first car new was a KIA Spectra 2005, i was at my 60, 000 mi so i thought about maybe trading it in. I loved that car. trade in happened, and got an Amanti 08 used with one owner which was a leasing agent. 15,000 mi on it. It has all the bells and whistles, leather, etc. Car is in mint condition. I feel spoiled and once you go leather and heat, you will never go back. It is a good car on the hwy, mileage is to be determined at this point. But rides nicely. My husband loves it. A GPS would be nice as there is a good space for it. I think the car is a little longer than i prefer, back lights should be smaller and turned side way to make it more sleek. but, will get used to that. I went in wanting an Opitima w/ all the bells and whistles, but here I am driving the flagship of Kia just like the rest. It has traces of a c class benz. my husband and i call it party in the front and business in the back by the way it is designed. sleek front appearance, business car in the back. My only complaint is that when we purchased the car, after all said and done, it did not come with any floor mats. The dealership was not honest in the begining and told us in the end said they could not find them. With no offer of a replacement. My husband and I are pretty miffed since I have been giving my business to them since 2004, oil changes and all. We are trying to recover a set from them, it would cost them nothing. You would think that a dealership would want to keep its customers........read morehide

the premium leather pkg looks awesome and is perfect for a young adult looking for luxury/performance and value blend. Looks like my contenintal from the back and a benz from the front. Everyone loves it and are really impressed with it's acceleration..It blows my v8 conti away and is faster than my old Eagle Vision ESI which was really quick. I wish the 9 speaker infinity system was better.. it's really dissapointing going from my lincoln conti's JBL factory (which is the best car radio i've ever heard) to the infinity.... there's no comparison. The wheels are very attractive with 17's and tinted windows really completed the look. Overall I am confident that I won't be the only Amanti on the roads here in Pittsburgh. It's kinda nice though having a car no one else has. When folks hear how much these cost, they can't believe it and several folks are considering upgrading their rides to the Amanti or other Kia products. The warranty is great and I recommend extending the bumper to bumper... it's well worth it. You will love this car... just take a test drive and see for yourself. The incentives right now 3-29-09 are fantastic. I recommend going for the premium package since there's not much difference in cost from the base to premium....read morehide

I have enjoy the Amanti, but the road noise is more than I had in my 2005. It has an occasional refusal to start -- I have to turn completely off, then try again. Dealership has been no help in resolving problem; Power seat memory gets confused when changing drivers, and ends up somewhere in between settings of 1 and 2. I loved my 2005, but I probably will not buy a KIA Amanti again. Too much drop in value....read morehide

i was shopping for a new optima, but never considered the amanti.while at the dealership, the salesman pointed out the amanti in the showroom, and i loved it.many people thought it was a mercedes when ! bought this car a week ago.pearl white with tan leather, great looking combination.the car drives well, almost a cross between bmw & mercedes.the highway gas milelage averages way above the 24-mpg on the window sticker.i put a lot of miles on a car,and this is an absolute dream to drive....read morehide

I have had this 2006 for 16 months. I get 20mpg city and 28mpg hwy. For a car this heavy I think this is great. I have 30k miles and had one problem with low fuel pressure at 23k miles. Dealer replaced the pump and controller providing me with a new car loaner for the week it took to get a new pump. then detailed my car because it took so long. I sure didn't get that kind of service from Ford on my previous car. A built in GPS would have been nice, even so I wish it had an aux audio input for my portable GPS. The car is great and the dealer is great....read morehide

I'm 6' 2" and about 300lbs. This car amazes me with its roominess. I fit in here very well and can get in and out of the car without hitting my head. This is the first car I've bought in over 20 years, and I'm completely impressed (I've owned several trucks and SUV's). Kia was not my first choice for a car, but luckily for me, the salesman at the dealership that I stopped at steered me towards it after I told him that I needed something comfortable for me to do 35,000+ miles per year. Amanti so far has been the answer. I'm getting about 23 mpg overall. Not bad considering the big V6 and my heavy foot. I'm at just under 2000 miles on the car and I've had it for just 3 weeks today.
Couple of things that I'd have liked to seen on the car: A built in gps/nav system. Seems like a car with all of these features should have had it. MP3 player or a jack to plug one in. Again, with all of the stuff on this car, this should have been there too. Or maybe built in Satellite radio.
Overall, this car is an exceptional value for the dollar. Warranty is outstanding and the ride is smooth....read morehide

Amanti comes with standards that may be offered as options. The ride is quiet and smooth and thus unintentional 100mph could not be noticeable in hwy 95.

On the highway I get 32 mpg and around town nothing lower than 25 mpg. For the price this is an excellant car, I'd never get the options this car has standard on an American car. It has the performance as well as the high mpg. Will consider the KIA everytime from now on.
