I never imagined my self in a mini van. Now that I own a Kia Sedona I can't imagine life with out it. The convience with 3 teenagers climbing in and out for every day use is wonderful. I don't feel like they are sitting on top of me while we are traveling.
I love the get up and go power the engine provides. Electric tail gate and doors. My kids call it the lazy mobile I call it the Mama mobile. Regardless we all love it....read morehide

The best thing about this minivan is the value. The simple fact is that I spent many hours test driving its competitors (all of which were thousands of dollars more for comparative features) and found little or no difference in the quality of the drive or handling of the car. As a bonus it comes with a great warranty (10 year/100,000 mile), and the most high end safety features available to a standard model. In terms of quality in the interior it did lack the luxuriousness of some of its rivals, but for me a minivan is meant to be a utility vehicle. It is supposed to be able to haul cargo, seat at least seven passengers, and sometimes do both. All of which has to be in relative comfort with a smooth ride. The Sedona does all of these things without being fancy. It does its job and nothing less. Practical would be a good word to describe it even though that sounds boring. I am in my thirties with a young family and this minivan has met all of our needs and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends or family....read morehide

We bought this new off the lot with the $5000 rebate (end of year clearance) in Sep 2004. I love it!! It has been very reliable. It has had 2 defects which were covered by the warranty. One of the motor mounts was loose and a tie rod went out. I love the room and the nice interior. Kids love the DVD player and all the cup holders. Wish the seats folded into the floor, but I understand they do on the newer models, so eventually we'll probably trade in for a newer one! It has almost 60,000 miles on it and my kids have really roughed it up, but I still love it!...read morehide

I have complained since first 200 miles that this van is the noisiest ever as far as RPM increase level noise. The minute you step on the gas(2-5 mph increase, it has a leaky muffler sound and the Kia dealer says this is normal.......tell me about it. I don't think so. Been back twice and should go back and bug them again. That withstanding and if that were not a problem it would be a high recommend from me. Otherwise I say, look elsewhere! If anyone else is having the problem I would like to read about it. This noise is driving me crazy in city stop and go driving....read morehide

I've had my Sedona for 1 year, drove 42,000 miles and had no problems. It is extremely reliable, great on fuel (I'm getting 20-22mpg) it is responsive to drive and comfortable in ride. Very Satisfied.

I struggled with going to a minivan, but needed the room for the dogs. I really wish the second row folded into the floor like the third row rather than having to take the seats in and out (not necessarily easy).
I also don't like that you cannot lock the vehicle with the AC going. If I'm driving in hot weather with the dogs, I often need to leave it running and lock it while I run into the store or get gas, etc (with extra set of keys in hand). I haven't figured out how to do this with the Sedona yet.
But other than that, for the price - it was a really good buy. MPG has been good about 20-22 around town, and up to 26 on long trips....read morehide
