This Town is an example of Linclons new direction it wants to go in. Flat out, it looks and feels just like a Grand Marquis, with a little more trim. Does it justify a 40K pricetag?. My answer is "Not on my dime". I can pick up a new Marquis (or Crown Vic) for half the price. If Ford (Lincoln) had any sense, they would have redefined big luxury car styling without trying to follow Cadillacs way of thinking and marketing aim. There is still a major market of buyers that dont want high-performance garbage, but want a solid, reliable, serviceable, ultra-quiet luxury car that feels right to them. Lets face it, the Town is not a test platform (i.e. MKS), so why try to make it one. Re-establish Lincoln styling on a proven chassis, and I think it will be a winner.
After driving an '08 Town, I now understand why its slated to go out of production. What a shame....read morehide

I can't stand a center console that touches my knee, especially on trips. Try to find a car without one. This is the sixth TC I've owned or rented long-term. They all got far better gas mileage that most people assume and that many rags report. Mine is a 2007 Designer and I grabbed it because I could get the built-in nav and upgrade to Sirius with a lifetime subscription. Not sure the new Limiteds offer built-in navigation. I sprang for the trunk organizer and halogen headlights and love them both. My dad's first Town Car was in 1970, as I recall, and it was super-comfy to ride in. That hasn't changed since. If you like being pampered with great seats and a quiet ride, try it. I just returned from an around-the-world trip in business class and those airplane seats were like boards compared to the ones in my Town Car.
Finally, as for quality, I've owned the car 13 months and have not had to do one thing to it other than get the oil changed. I will keep this car until the wheels fall off....read morehide

When I purchased my new Town Car I would have never imagined it would deliver such a great ownership experience. I have owned other luxury cars, 300C and DTS, and I wouldn't trade my Lincoln for anything. The ride is absolutely superb, smooth powertrain, and the interior is so quite you could hear a pin drop. These are fabulous automobiles that will get you from point A-Z. Havent not had one problem with it, with 80,000km on it now. I would recommend this car to anyone who truly wants a luxury car that isn't in the shop every 2 months like similar cars from Chrysler and Cadillac. I just hope they never stop making this car, because I will be buying another one. Having said that, I must also say the Town Car is the only automobile in history with a 60%+ repeat buyer history. It has proved itself....read morehide

I think the fuel efficiency ratings listed herein are misleading. My new Town Car does surprisingly well and gets twice the mpg's of my old Ford Explorer Sport (SUV). I get around 20 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway. The ride isn't the floating dream palace like the Mark V's of the 1970's (when they were MUCH heavier vehicle designs), but is much more comfortable and easier to get into than all those soy sauce cars. And what a financial statement it makes to everyone who MUST resort to driving fuel-efficient econo boxes when I pull up in this beast of a machine. I guess it's true, "Gentlemen prefer Lincoln" and this is the best of them all....read morehide

I own a 2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited. It is my 8th Lincoln Town Car. While I do not disagree with the loss of value in a shor time, I still would not buy anoher make. They have all proven to suit my needs. I love the large size, the confort provided. We have diriven each of our TC's all over the United States and have not had one single brake-down other than a flat tire once in the 1993 TC. I did not purchase the Lincoln TC for it's resale value. I purchased them for their reliabilityand confort....read morehide

I will never buy this car again. It looks like a $20,000 car. The intior or the worst you can find for a car in this price range!

Once again, the Lincoln Town Car "Signature Ls" must be continued for all eternity, but on Saturday, January 29, 2005, it was my first time finding a Hard-To-Find, Top-Of-The-Line Signature L and it was absolutely amazing!!!!! I wish Jordin Sparks would like Signature Ls after all!!!!!

This care is excellant for the purpose of moving people. I think of it as a urban people mover. This car allows the largest backseat and passenger comfort. Enough space to haul 5 full sized adults. If you have to pickup and drop off people or move large items such as a 4ft X 4ft piece of plywood. It will fit in the trunk.
Perfect for long comutes or long car trips....read morehide
