Looking at this car you don't expect 612 lb. of torque. It gets you places, fast. If you need to pass a slow BMW 650 or Porsche 911 all you need to do is flex your foot and you're gone. Its that quick. On the winding roads its not as agile as a Porsche but you don't expect it to be. This is the most comfortable GranTourer I've ever tested (I tested a Bentley Conti GT) I personally can't afford one but my friend has one that I borrowed for a week (I drive an Audi A8). You never get tired of it! I can't even imagine what a CL65 is like (he's considering that for his next car). White is by far the best color for the 600. The way the light hits it just makes the car gleam. For any big time CEO that has maybe two children, I can't think of a better coupe....read morehide

Overall this is the best CL yet. It will take a little getting familiar with the electronic but I will have fun the entire time.

My uncle just got this car, and he let me drive it around a bit. He loves it, and I love it more. It's sooo smooth, and quiet. Though the car is large, it handles far better than Tom Brady could ever handle a football. (No offense to him, he's an awesome QB) The gadgets in there are also soo much fun. I literally just sat in the car and played with all of the gizmos for quite a while. However, since I don't make money yet, the MSRP really has no affect on me. However, I sure think that it's total steal for its less than $200,000 price tag. I mean... just look at it's performance, quality, and reliability. (yes it's reliable. Anything Benz makes that's not one of the lower classes is reliable) Plus, it's a great everyday car. You can't exactly drive the Ferrari everywhere, especially behind the gates of Rolling Hills. I'm not much of a Mercedes-Benz fan,but I LOVE this car. You wont regret buying this car....read morehide

The 08' CL65 AMG is one sweet car. Maybe the best in it's class. No other coupe has over 600 hp, 0-60 from 3.8 sec. to 4.4 sec, the hot apperance, and the modern, luxurious interior.
But the thing is, it's one of the most expensive luxury car to own (not to purchase). So if you have a hard time with the warranty, I wouldn't redommend getting this car.
But if money isn't an issue, I would get this car! It beats every regular sports car in the market....read morehide

When will AMG get the credit it deserves? I am a C55 AMG owner and granted this is NOT a C55 but much more special. AMG has turned out beast after beast and very rarely gets the attention the M's get (M3 at least). One must understand, AMG is typically taking a soft, tame, boat of an auto (see: most stock MB's) that grandpa just loves for it's nice, smooth ride and frankensteining them into some of the most radical productions cars on the road. The numbers are staggering-hp, torque, 0-60. Even my lil C55 pumps out near 400 hp and is sub 4 secs 0-60 and that's a "starter AMG". No, there is no AWD and there is no manual shift but if a sports car can get it done with good old fashioned RWD and grunt- what's wrong with that? Also, even in Europe, the manual shift is dying as they all realize that the "manumatic", "tiptronic" type shifting is actually quicker than manual.Ok, for all you die-hards that need a clutch I get it- go get an M3 or 5, audi or maybe a 911. I don't have any problem with that but understand that the manual shift is only alive because of american demand and may soon be gone-like it or not. What else can carry you in such opulence, inside and out, give you rrom for 4 and their luggage and still snap your passengers' necks off at C2-C3? Only an AMG....read morehide

Finally, a luxury car that can be fast, fun and a pleasure to ride in. Throw in attractive lines and state of the art technology and The CL 63 is a tough act to follow. And with it's prodigious power, following is about all most other cars will be able to do.
Although I've owned many fine cars and have checked this site often for reviews, this is the first review I've written. That's the type of impression this car can leave. Even reticent types like me will feel the need to say something about it....read morehide

I have owned the car a few months now and I love it overall. I think the AC seats could be improved, handling is great as well as overall performance! Gear ratios needed a little work... Once I put the Barabus chip in, I love it even more!

This is the best Mercedes that I have ever
driven. The AMG trim really sets it apart
from the pack.
