being 15 MPG + is a complete lie

by Peter Dimako from Lexington, KY, 40515 (10/16/08)
Pros:Great car, The worst fuel economy on the planet

I love my ML63, but the fuel economy that certain users claim of being 15 MPG + is a complete lie. Even when driving your most economical, the car will not do more than 15 mpg and if that unless you're driving at 20 miles per hour. The average you're probably going to see is around 13.5 mpg. The c63 will average at 15.4 mg simply due to less HP.

Ignore the high MPG reviews, those are either people in denial or dealers trying to push the car.

2008 ML350 PII Package, Heated front seats, IPOD

by AVI from Westchester County, NY (10/07/08)
Pros:Nice Comfortable ride, very smooth.
Cons:When AC is on, it fogs over the passenger side outside mirror so it's sometime difficult to see

This is a great improvement over the initial shape of the ML. Much better shape

This car is comfortable. It has a very smooth ride, similar to a car.

The gas could be better, I get about 16-18MPG Average. I get about 400 miles on a tank of gas, which is absoultely great for an ALL WHEEL DRIVE SUV.

I have always lived by the notion "if you can't afford the gas, don't buy the car." Especially for a MBZ.

The COMMAND system could be a little more intuitive, but it's not bad. The backup camera is great, as well as the power folding mirrors.

This is my 3rd Mercedes and I have not had any major problems with any of them. Would not want to drive anything else

Quite but not quite

by Robert from DFW Tx (9/19/08)
Pros:Appearances are everything. This one makes a great first impression. Love the interior.
Cons:Navigation is from the flinstones age. Gas mileage is terrible.

I like driving this long distances but want the resale to be worth something. I have had mine 10 months and have just over 5000 miles. Loved every minute of it so far.

Great looking car w/ great MPG & efficient brake

by Vic from Seattle (9/05/08)
Pros:Good aggresive looking, handling (accelerating, towing), braking, feel, most important MPG
Cons:MHI is too expensive...

This is my very first Mercedes after many BMW's I had! I love this car, great looking, handling, feels good, and of course the miles per gallon. I have to say this car is feels almost like a BMW, accelerate pretty fast, and the brake is pretty sensitive. It's too precious to drive aggresive nor abuse the engine. I would defintely keep the vehicle for a long time. Dont know about the maintainece cost yet, hopefully it's not too bad (not to mention BMW is quite expensive to maintain).

The car is beautiful. I recomend it to everybody.

by Mohamed from Queens, New York (9/02/08)
Pros:Spacious vehicle, Great ride, excellent sound system
Cons:The car is horrible with gas.

The car is definetely one of the best cars we have ever owned. We were orignally aiming for an S-Class but we decided that the car costs to much money for nothing. Basically it is an amazing car. One thing I point out is the ride you will get. We were doing 95mph and were going very smoothly. It rides like a sedan. You don't feel like you are in an SUV. I also love the sound system. The sound is very clear and I love the bass.

Excellent SUV Highly Recomended

by Igor Perlov from Brooklyn, New York (8/28/08)
Pros:Excellent driving, Power, Performance, Comfort, Brakes system.
Cons:No third row seats option. Hands Free system needs additional adaptor for $500 cost.

Actually I got my ML350 saddenly. I commit to buy Hyundai Veracruz AWD Limited. But Mercedes dealler at Rallye Mercedes offer me unbeatable price for Brand New ML350 with Navigation, power LiftGate, Hands Free Communication, Running Boards & apperience pcg for only $40.800 so I got it.
I am happy with this Car. Very nice, Very Smooth ride, Excellent Brakes, Very comfortable.
I Highly recomended this car to other people.
Just ONE Adwise. Before pick-up car from dealler strongly demand Hands Free System to be Fully completed. I mean DEMAND Phone CRADLE Adaptor before paying. Afterward you will have to spend $500 more.

Great little SUV.

by HEMS from Austin TX (8/22/08)
Pros:comfortable, quiet ride
Cons:Has a big tank, so fill up is quite expensive. Not much pick up going uphill.

This is one of my favorite cars. I also have a 2000 ML430 that I am letting my daughter drive now. It has had a lot of repairs over the years, but i love how it drives, so I got another ML. The ML 350 is so quiet and smooth. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't have the power that my ML 430 has when going up steep hills. I had it floored and it would not go more than 30 mph up a steep hill in my neighborhood. Other then that, it's a great little SUV. The back seat has plenty of leg room, and it's perfect for someone with two kids.

Waiting for MPG's to come up to advertised...

by SMD from Colorado Springs, CO (7/14/08)
Pros:Good looks, quiet for a Diesel, good torque...
Cons:Seats a little uncomfy on long trips, options are pricey...

'08 320CDI 4-matic w/ P2, heating package. Bought this model for wife after turning in leased R350. Anticipating the 38-40 highway MPG's after initial breakin but so far MPG's not that high with 650 miles driven. Starting to like the looks despite the huge wheel well gap and small-ish looking tires/wheels (19's). Ride is soft, comfortable, quiet for Diesel, no black smoke when "on it"... This is NOT an Offroader other than the occassional dirt road, snowy parking lot etc. but didn't buy it for offroad prowess... Looking forward to driving it in Colorado winter weather and snow... Options are pricey for this class vehicle and drive the price up alot quickly... Bi-xenons should be standard as they are far superior to halogens. Heating package for steering wheel and rear seats adds $1200...!

It is a comfortable car with great looks and good performance. This new model is unique that other car makers have to copy from.
