Had about 3000 miles and drive to work with it. Enjoyed every minute. The appearance of the car is'nt bad at all. Turbo lag is minimal, feel the power at 3000 RPM.Can't explain much of the speed for its FAST. It makes one driver feel like a pro when manuevering corners. Yaw control works. Can't wait for winter to drive it in snow. It's tempting to go 100 MPH esp. overtaking car twice the price and trying to catch up and you get the looks that they have been beaten by a small car. Inside the car, some material looks cheap but its a compromise mitsubishi has done and upgrade to the electonics and mechanics of the car. It has a small compartment and not ready for long family get-away....read morehide

I bought this car and within one night, put on 150 miles and let me tell you, I enjoyed every minute of it. This car can be driven daily, it is smooth and yet, powerful enough so whenever you feel like giving it that extra boost, you can!
The handling is fantastic, this thing corners really well. The AYC kicks in when you're doing EXTREME twists and turns and like what Edmunds Inside Line said, it takes getting use to because your first instinct is to slam on your brakes and slow down. I made the mistake of slamming my brakes twice and after I got use to it, I just kept the throttle pined and AYC did the job for me (^_^).
Overall, this car with the Sight, Sound, Spoiler package is a steal! I paid straight invoice and let me tell you, I don't regret it at all. I am going from a 2006 Scion tC and this car not only exceeds my expectations, but has set a new standard for automobile with me!...read morehide

The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 10 is capable of dethroning more than just its traditional opponent due to supercar-like speed and grip. The corner-noshing EVO 10 (X) is good enough to challenge BMW's pricey 3 series. The $41,600 335xi features all-wheel-drive system in addition to the habit forming turbocharged inline-six and makes for an interesting comparison.
The $33,600 EVO is standard with all-wheel-drive, 295 Horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, but it's being generated with two less cylinders and a full liter less displacement, compared with the BMW 335xi's 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, generated from 3.0 liters of displacement.
Premium lightweight Enkei wheels (BBSs come on the upper level MR trim) and Brembo brakes, expensive for both companies and enthusiasts, are part of the deal with the EVO. What does BMW's extra $10,000 get you? Furtive looks from marriage commuters and middle fingers from Prius drivers, aside from buying the name. I'm going to pretend that the EVO's interior is even close to the 3 series, although the EVO si marginally larger and quieter than the previous generation EVO.
The EVO now features on demand navigation and bluetooth connectivity. Mitsubishi spent the right money on the interior bits that amtter for this most focused machine: excellent, supportive Recaro seats.
As a rear-wheel-drive car, the BMW is a barn stormer with a sub-five-second 0-60, but the EVO is quicker. The BMW works the skidpad; the EVO 10 owns it, with a supercar-like 0.97 g of grip....read morehide

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X is better than the rest of the pretenders in performance race and it just shows in the power, improvements Mitsubishi has done with the twin clutch that before had some resentment on it and the styling has improved quite a bit which has not followed any of the other brands direction, but developed their own identity. Just looking forward on Mitsubishi's next development, which surely will make this car far better!...read morehide

On the skidpad, the Evo tilts the world back on axis-easily besting the 135i on the figure-eight course and breaking the 1.0g barrier for lateral acceleration. Under braking, the 135i's 183-pound weight advantage, six-piston front brakes, and wide, sticky tires haul it to rest in an impressive 102 feet. The Evo stops only two feet behind, so we call it a tie before moving on to Reno Fernley Raceway.
Thinner and harder, the Evo's tiller gives the impression that you're hardwired into the car; the action is light, accurate, and unnervingly fast at first. Once underway, the precision of the Evolution makes it easy to relax and focus on this technical track. It has a more planted feel, with less body roll, which means 115 mph entries into the double S-turns can be taken with a lot less pucker.
The trick is to fight the instinct to slam on the brakes and, instead, keep the throttle pinned. The Evo's fancy Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system takes care of the rest by sending just the right amount of power through three differentials; accelerating the outside rear wheel, retarding the inside rear wheel, or shifting up to 50 percent of the power to both front wheels.
Thanks to the MR's paddle-shiftable six-speed Twin-Clutch Sport Shift Transmission (TC-SST), the Evo always seems to be in the right gear as well. For fast lapping, we learned to leave the MR in Super-Sport mode and ignore the paddles-so spot on is the TC-SST's automatic shift logic. We've come to expect perfect throttle-blipped downshifts and gears run to redline from these kinds of transmissions, but were impressed that the MR always had us high in the right gear, even in the slowest of corners. Test editor Mortara couldn't say enough about it, "The Evo has the best version of this kind of transmission to date. The 135i's auto isn't bad, probably the best currently in a BMW, but the Evo's TC-SST is just amazing."
Lastly, $8,000 price difference between the EVO and BMW as tested with EVO costing less and the EVO with AWD and BMW with RWD only!...read morehide

I bought this car last March 5, 2008. This car is very fast, very light and head turner. I got the rally red and its very attractive color. A five year old kid appreciate its beauty and style. The sound system is great, 640W will rock you in and out. The safety features are outstanding that gives you a peace of mind. The recaro seats embrace you tight and cushion your back well. The front style really like a shark that will bite with a jet image. The back style is like a face that says " Catch me if you can". The 18 inch wheels and its brembo brakes make the car look sophisticated. If you are fascinated by a fast, modern looking and affordable rally car, then go for EVO X and you will not be disaapointed....read morehide
