Diggin' her Vibe ;)

by Angela from Merced, CA (6/29/08)
Pros:great on fuel, stabilitrak, more room than 2009 Vibe, sleek design, roomy, plastic lined in back
Cons:low arm rests

I love how pratical and universal this car is. I'm an out-doorsy person, and it's a great car to travel in, having a top rack and the plastic liner in back. The fuel-eficiency and reliability in performance of the Vibe is awesome!

LOVE THE CAR, BUT WHERE'S MY XM?

by DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? from HEY, WHO CARES! (6/09/08)
Pros:good fuel, enough room for my dogs to sit comfortably in the rear, the functional sun roof
Cons:no satellite radio capabilities, no keyless start, no ipod connection

YES, I LOVE THE CAR AND ALL THE COMFORTS. THE PLASTIC CARGO PLACE IS PERFECT FOR MY LOVELY DOGS. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN AND KEEP NEAT. OH YES, THE CAR DEFINITELY HANDLES VERY WELL IN THE RAIN. WE TESTED IT YESTERDAY DURING A REALLY AWFUL THUNDERSTORM!

Great car at a great price

by Rick from Essexville, MI (4/27/08)
Pros:Great fuel economy, lots of room for a small car
Cons:arm rests are too low

I've only had my car for two weeks and went from a 4X4 F150 to the 2008 Vibe. Not only am I impressed with the ride and economy, I thought I'd never be able to give up my truck for a little girly man car(which this is not) This is a car for intelligent people that are trying to reduce vehicle costs. I was a little disappointed with my insurance rates for this car though. I purchased a new Vibe because the resale value was very hign for a 2006 or newer and the incentives for the new one made it a deal that I couldn't pass up. I'm not sure if the 2009's with the 2.2l or 2.4l engines are made by GM but I know the 1.8l is made by Toyota and is reliable. I would stay away from the 2.2 and 2.4 if they are GM produced.

Great car for the money

by Cathy from Myrtle Beach, SC (4/18/08)
Pros:excellent mpg, fits my 6'5" husband comfortably, love the cargo options
Cons:Low arm rest, small steering wheel - minor issues.

We bought 2007 Vibe last fall. We plan to keep this car for at least 10 years or longer if we can, so we researched it and compared it to other small wagons on the market before we purchased it. We test drove a number of the small wagon and kept coming back to the Vibe.

We get about 33 mpg highway driving, and 29 - 31 for local driving. With the price of gas, that's a big feature of the car! I love the cargo options - fold down rear seats and front passenger seat make this a very flexible vehicle, and that's a feature that we will use over and over through the years. It's also really convenient to have an outlet for electronics; we have used it several times.

Easy Rider

by Joachim from Ft. Lauderdale (2/09/08)

I own a 2006 Pontiac Vibe with 39,000 mi. I drove from Ft. Lauderdale to LA, and back.... I have not had any mechanical problems... I have
automatic trans... and pretty much the complete insentive package... all the extras. The car was not equipped with Moon/or Sun roof. The mechanics have been great. I had to buy new tires recently in December due to wear. Driving and handling is Great! Only slight point,in Mountain driving... from East to West Coast and leisure driving up steep inclines... you could feel a very slight sluggishness, but other than that the Car is EXCELLENT!

This was a PERFECT FIT !!!

by Margaret from Beaumont, Ca. (1/28/08)
Pros:So far I have spent less $$ on gas driving the same distance compared to my old car.
Cons:not to crazy that this is a 4 cyl. when getting on freeway.

I am a small statue woman that felt at ease getting in and out of this vehicle love the fact that is smaller than an SUV but larger than a sedan I have custody of my grand-daughter which this vehicle lets me get her in and out of the Vibe with so much ease the child safety locks, and automatic lock when the vibe is put in gear. Over all a great vehicle

Perfect for all sizes

by KoJo from Cincinnati, Ohio (1/08/08)
Pros:Good on gas; lots of room for tall people; lots of storage; nice ride; awesome handling
Cons:Ride is loud with back windows down; arm rest is low; antenea hits garage door and no options to sub

I am tall and I can get in and out of the car easily. Move around. See out of all the window.s I test drove many SUVs and other Wagons and it was difficult for me to see out of the windows. I also hit my head. In this car, I have plenty of room to see and do! I highly recommend this car!

Great Car

by Jeremy (12/28/07)

Bought a 2007 about 7 months ago, and I already have 15,000 miles on the car. It still looks good and runs smooth. I get about 27-29 mpg which is a little less than expected, but overall decent gas mileage. I definitely recommend this car for its utility and value!
