Purchased As Used
I bought my 2008 Saturn Outlook used, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!! I love that no matter which trim level you purchase, they all have the same outside appearance. The available options seem to be endless. I would recommend this vehicle to anybody, especially those with a large family....read morehide

Purchased car new believing hype about fuel economy. After trip to Florida (2885 miles round trip) received only nine miles per gallon pulling small trailer. Very comfortable ride. Good visibility all around.
If you plan to pull a trailer I suggest you not choose this vehicle.
Transmission searches constantly, and will not maintain any speed....read morehide

The transmission can't make up it's mind when heading into the wind or going uphill. The car makes horrible harmonics when trying to drive even in town with windows down any amount. The worst part is the fuel intake issue--when the gas gauge still shows 1/4 tank, you can't start it on an incline (like my driveway!!) when the nose is pointing up. Anything below 1/4 tank and you have to take a different vehicle to the gas station to fill a container so you can start the Outlook at all, even parked nose down. So is this a guage issue or intake problem? Either way, untrustworthyness makes me want to trade it in for Subaru Forrester. Now....read morehide

Purchased As New
Bought this car over a Tahoe, Buick Enclave, and GMC Acadia, as smooth as the Buick with fresher look and alot quieter than the GMC. More room than the Tahoe. Drove it to work the day after purchase and a co-worker who drives a 7 series BMW was impressed at my new "Lexus" I said Saturn, he sat in it and almost rolled over, nice stiching on the doors etc. Great luxury car. Saturn knocked it out of the park on this one....read morehide

Love the rich interior look & feel. CLASS real CLASS. Its like being in an EXSPENSIVE SUV. Looks & style are GREAT. HUGE difference between the OUTLOOK & the GMC ACADIA. I feel like i'm riding on air in this car. Handling is good. Braking is good. Interior seating is GREAT, lots of room in the front seating area. Everything is easy to operate and look at. We put 8 adults in this car and nobody was complaining about the room, and with the rear controlls everybody was confortable. I had lots of people tell me how sharp the car is. ps my 2 boxer dogslike it also. They sit on the floor in the 2nd. row and have plenty of room....read morehide

The shear look of this suv is remarkable. My wife and I really love this vehicle. The company might want to make this vehicle in a hybrid because the only thing I don't like about the suv is it's gas mileage. Saturn should step out as the first to have a suv with 30 mpg.

I wrote an informative review, based on my experiences with a transmission problem. AND FOR SOME REASON IT WAS REMOVED!
I love my Outlook, I merely had a problem with the tranny. I took it to the dealer and got it fixed. The only issue with it was that the tranny software fix hurt the gas mileage. This is a valid point that should be open for discussion among all the Lambda platform crossovers. Apparently (hopefully) the issue has gotten better with the '09's.
Regardless, why is Yahoo editing my review? It wasn't derogatory, nor profane. It fit the Product Review Guidelines. This is the last time I use Yahoo reviews....read morehide

I traded in my 2007 Vue for the 2008 Outlook XR FWD and I am very happy with my choice! We needed more room for the family, dog, etc. and this car has a ton of interior space and is great on long trips - very comfortable. The color (Ocean Blue) and interior are gorgeous! I get a ton of compliments on the car. The surround air bag system is another reason I chose this car - I feel that my daughter is safe in her car seat in this vehicle. I also like that this model has front wheel drive and is a V-6. It handles well in traffic and on mountain roads and also gets better gas mileage than the larger V-8 SUV's on the market that are comparable in size. This is my third Saturn and I have yet to be disappointed!...read morehide

We owned a Saturn 2007 VUE and were very satisfied with this vehicle and the Saturn dealership. Since we required a vehilce with additional seating, we decided to purchase something a little larger. We explored our options and decided to remain with a General Motors produce. The Saturn 8 passenger Outlook was determined to offer the best value, most comfort and exceptional fuel economy. We have owned our 2008 Outlook for four months and are completely satisfied....read morehide
