I have now owned a 2008 base Suzuki Forenza for about 6 months and am over all very happy with the purchase. The Italian design is very attractive and I don't feel embarrased to be seen behind the wheel. However, the fuel economy is rather substandard, only averaging for me between 15 mpg in city and 20 mpg on highway. The interior is very spacious, with more than enough room, but the seats are a little stiff and the base package lacks cruise control. I have driven this car a lot (about 20,000 miles in the past 6 months) and have had no difficulties with the car whatsoever. I would say it is a very reliable driver, just expect to pay a little more at the pump than what they say. Consider a Kia Forte as a comparable option.
