This car is horrible! It falls apart easy. I have had my car for 2yrs...backseat seatbelts do not work..they are stuck, my transmission switch went, the outside of the car dents easily and
I found out not too long ago that it was made in Korea.

I have now owned a 2008 base Suzuki Forenza for about 6 months and am over all very happy with the purchase. The Italian design is very attractive and I don't feel embarrased to be seen behind the wheel. However, the fuel economy is rather substandard, only averaging for me between 15 mpg in city and 20 mpg on highway. The interior is very spacious, with more than enough room, but the seats are a little stiff and the base package lacks cruise control. I have driven this car a lot (about 20,000 miles in the past 6 months) and have had no difficulties with the car whatsoever. I would say it is a very reliable driver, just expect to pay a little more at the pump than what they say. Consider a Kia Forte as a comparable option....read morehide

I was put in this car by Budget as an equivalent to a Sebring; which it is NOT! I am 5'11" and I knocked my temple area getting into the vehicle for the first time. The breaks are extremely touchy. The steering is way over exaggerated and the engine is weak. Everytime me and my wife go some where in it she gets car sick with in one mile....read morehide

I have been more than happy with this car. It has elec doors and windows, nice stereo and sound system. Plenty of trunk space.

I have put on more miles than I anticipated(almost 20,000). I thought I would only put 10,000 miles in a year.

I bought my 2006 suzuki forenza brand new, off the lot in York, PA, after my Malibu - that I loved - simply died. I was told I'd get 33 mpg on highway and 29 in town. HAH! I haven't gotten that yet! During the first year, my car would sputter and I had it to the shop - twice - only to be told nothing was wrong. (I drove 80 miles one way to the shop) Buying tires for this car is a nightmare cuz only 1 place in the area carries them. The car rides loudly on the highway and I have had to reglue the rubber seal around my windshield twice already.
I ran into another suzuki driver at a Sheetz one afternoon this fall. She asked me how I liked it and I told her, "I don't" She then went on to express the same frustrations I've just written about....read morehide

I rented this car for about 10 days, enough to gain some impressions. I thought the ride was controlled and smooth for a small car. The automatic had a nice response around town. Pretty quiet except for tire noise that came through.

I didn't like the seats though, short, flat, and hard. I wouldn't want to take a long drive in those. And while the car tracks straight and true, it corners reluctantly. Takes a real tug of the wheel and a real slow down to accomplish turns. That's something where Suzuki needs some work....read morehide

Since bought have had one problem after another. If in budget would trade in & get anything else! Worst car ever! Bought cause reviews were so good but learned the hard way! Do not buy this car! Have continually had in shop since buying it so please don't buy this one!

POOR CITY/SHORT TRIP MILEAGE

I have lived in the burb of Philly for almost 15 years and this Suzuki is my 3rd one if 5 years (one in an accident and the other belonged to partner).

I bought this car simply because I live in the burbs and travel 17.5 highway miles to work each day. The car handles well in highway traffic, overall great value for the money, but....when taking little trips here and there, you can watch the gas gauge go down! It is not meant to be a city dwellers car at all.

but for someone like me who travels almost exclusively on the highway to everwhere - the gas mileage is brilliant (roughly 34 mpg).

Easy maintenance, no recalls on my model, and the only interior drawback is that it is not a multiple cd player, but does have mp3 and audio input capabilities, which makes up for that...even the family dog (golden retriever) loves riding in the car!

Even contemplating trading this one in for a newer model is not out of the question - after 1 year with this car, completely satisfied!...read morehide
