Passenger side airbag on all the time when passenger seat not occupied.

We were in the market for a safe reliable car for our daughter to drive to school and the Suzuki Reno seemed to fit our needs perfectly. We were only to find out after the purchase about the serious safty flaw that this vehicle has. The vehicle comes with a passenger side airbag disable function when there is less than 100 LBS in the passenger seat. A BRIGHT yellow warning light alerts you to thsi in the middle of the dash, right in the drivers line of sight, wrecking your night vision entirily and making operation of the vehicle after sunset very dangerous when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat. The light should have been programed to come on when the seat was carrying more than 25 pounds but less than 100 pounds to be a usefull feature and not a hazard to safe operation. If you plan on never operating this vehicle after sunset without someone in your passenger seat, then this might be the perfect car for you. All others should continue to research other vehicle choices.
