i dont like this car, this is a very bad car. the brakes are too clanky and the car cost too much for the standard

Steering is really hard, Brakes are awful, Hands hurt are driving for a 1/2 hour,

Wheel is uncomfortable, I've had other Toyotas which were a lot better than this.

I experience buyer's remorse after purchase, i was rushed into this deal because my old car was totaled. it was a 1998 corolla le, i loved it, so i took a chance on a 08 camry. i'm not happen with my purchase

Engine stumbles upon acceleration. Engine stops running and leaves no codes so it can't be fixed.

The engine just stops running and will not restart. Lots of fuel oders and lots of cranking, but no start. Everything is so completely computerized I'm told that if the mechanic finds no codes it can not be fixed -- the days of linkage and screws to adjust are over. The best I've been left with from the mechanics at the dealer is "have it towed immediately to a Toyota dealer (in an effort to get a code). Yeah. Sunday afternoon, in Colorado, were the signage just said: next 92 miles without motorist assistance -- I didn't even find a motel, let alone a phone or cell phone service.

Also, at a park, "Ranger Rick" pulled me over to wait a half hour with a bunch of "rust buckets" because the brakes were too hot. I had just waited a half hour and done an immediately turned around to leave the park because the thing wouldn't run... what kind of brakes doesn't this thing have???

And the transmission has a mind of it's own, even at 75 mph (legal speed), downshifting into third gear. Pegs the tach every time! And then their's ALWAYS the sudden forward lurch at 37 mph as you come to a stop. It goes faster, not slower. Nice surprise???...read morehide

Back seats aren't right... Not near as exciting an an Accord or G6!

I have been buying forigen cars for many years now. I did that because I feel that the Big Three offered no appealing cars. Well I made a mistake I ordered a black 2008 XLE Camry site un-seen. It came in and I have been extremely under impressed. My dealer assured me the 4cylinder would be enough power for me and my needs. In my 2006 Accord EX-L it certainly was not so the case in the Camry. The interior is very disappointing for a Toyota, just read the Car and Driver comparison test with the eight cars. It came in 7th only beating the ugly new Sebring if you don't take my word for it. The new Saturn Aura beat it! Toyota is slipping and I think despite a Toyota biased media GM and Honda will reap the beneifits! I have owned my car for 3 weeks and have been back to the dealer 3 times for problems with quality and the electrical system. This is my last Toyota. I am right now in the process of getting a new 2008 G6 GT to replace it. Becareful what you wish for, just because a car is a best seller doesn't mean its the best car!...read morehide

Transmission problem and acceleration problem

Had 6 camrys since 1993 and this is the one with the lowest performance. the problem is well known to Toyota but they hide behind the phrase"this is normal for this car". Had the car serviced 4 times and the last time was on 8/14/07. . The last time they did something and it is 60% better. I contacted a lawyer and waiting for his response. If you are a car buyer do not buy now wait until they fix the problem....read morehide

This car is junk!!!! downshifts while trying to go faster, Dangerous hesatation problem. Toyota says "normal" traded car back in, lost ALOT of money because of a problem toyota isnt admitting to YET. something should be done about these car companies, They sell you junk and get away with it. just not right!!!...read morehide

I'm not impressed and really don't get why others seem to be. This is one very boring car. The interior reminds me of late 1980s and early `90s designs. No bottle holders, cheap interior, no breakaway side mirrors and anemic 4 cyl power.
