Purchased As New
Bought this LE new, but had a CD player that wouldn't eject and scratches on the bumper that were all fixed by the dealership a week later. No problems with CD player since. Some occasional hard downshifting to 1st gear slowing to a red light. Not sure if it's a tranny or computer problem. Haven't had it checked out yet. Otherwise a great car to drive....read morehide

I have a 2007 Camry LE with around 25,000 miles. At this present time I am having problems with the fuel gauge. The car shows E and I have 4 gallons of gas when I fill up, what the heck?!??? Also when driving for over 1/2 hour the shifting box gets HOT when you have the headlights on. I have brought the car to the dealer (still under warranty) and the dealer says there is nothing wrong. The only problem I see is I really wish I would have waited for the new Accords to come out....read morehide

I bought my 07 Camry brand new in the beginning of that year. I was thrilled of purchasing my very own Camry. My brother had an older model Camry once, and it was extremely reliable.
I find the Camry to be comfortable and roomy. This is a family-friendly vehicle. The only drawback is the pickup. Otherwise, I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is in the market of buying a car....read morehide

During the initial month, I noticed that the CD-player is incapable of functioning more than 15 minutes; it constantly deactivated after 15 minutes. The dealership claimed that they didn't recognize a problem, which is extremely ignorant of them, however, they agreed to change it in order to maintain "customer satisfaction." How could any normal person not recognize that the audio system discontinued producing sounds?
In addition, an even more tragic situation, which the dealer claims that they do not recognize as a problem, is that the headlights that are activated by the initial turn of the knob deactivate after 15-20 minutes of use, complete ignorance. I own both a 2007 and 2008 Camry and compared both of them, that is not normal.
I am not particularly satisfied with the 2008 Model due to such problems and the dealers lack of willingness to recognize and correct the errors....read morehide

Having read a lot of the reviews on the Camry and owning several of them over the years I am happy to say that I love my 2007 Camry.
I'm sure that a lot of the negative comments posted here are those of paid bashers and negative folks in general that are not happy with any car they purchase
Is the Camry perfect? Of course not, no car is. But here is what I see as it's strong points.
Very powerful and refined 2.4 litter engine.
Good fuel economy . I average 33 mpg on the freeway
5 speed Automatic transmission that shifts smoothly
Nice ride, not to soft or firm
Well laid out interior without a lot of little controls everywhere that are hard to see.
Dependable track record for repairs. ( Ask any professional mechanic)
Outstanding safety record
Last but not least. Great resale value
There are some small negatives such as a generic looking interior and simple looking wheel covers, but overall the Camry is a good bang for your buck...read morehide

Nice looking body design. A very economical car based on cost and
great fuel economy. I test drove Honda, Chevy and Saturn and they
couldn't come within $2,500.00 of the price of the Camry. Great value.

We bought this Camry in '07 and it has been great thus far. No problems at all!! We have been avg. 24 city/ 34 hwy for MPG. Just a nice car all around. The powerful 2.4 inline 4-cyl.(158 hp) is quiet and responsive. The 5-spd Auto is very smooth. Brakes are smooth and very effective, making very short stops in wet or dry. Steering is tight and smooth. Big trunk; lots of leg room in the front and back....read morehide

I got better gas mileage in my 6-cylinder 2003 Alero, which was the main reason that I traded it in the first place, as I was dissatisfied with only getting an average of 21mpg. I'm now lucky to get 19mpg in the Toyota! The transmission issue is widespread, but Toyota refuses to do anything about it. It makes me wonder whether it will take a fatal accident for them to finally admit that the acceleration problems are actually a design flaw. I think that part of the mileage issue is tied to the slow tranmission response, as in order to get the car to respond after braking or slowing one has to 'floor it' in order to get around corners or get back into the traffic flow. The interior of the car has cheap and tacky instruments and dials. Not what I would have expected, but I was buying it for the mileage and low emmissions not its looks. Perhaps I should have gone with the looks after all and kept my Alero. Overall, this car is a big disappointment....read morehide

Very happy with this car. Toyota has me for LIFE! A company that endorses MLB, Bass Pro, and provides jobs for our people is more AMERICAN than anything else. Test drive this car...YOU will LOVE IT!
