We have had the car for a year and we hate it. The moon roof when you shut it be aware your ears will pop. Good fuel economy for long trips but I don't recommend it. Your butt will feel numb after 3 hours in the car. The trunk if very large. The paint chips very bad. It shows every little scratch. The dongs if you don't have a seat belt on is annoying. In the snow it slides and spins. Worst car ever!...read morehide

Took this car in two times for hesitation of shifting in transmission. This could be very dangerous at intersections. I took a look at all the bad reviews about the transmisson and knew i made a major mistake of purchase. Please do your reseaerch. Back to honda accord for me.

Sometimes, when I tried to accelerate; it choked and all sudden, I felt it slid. it is very dangerous, and it scared me. The seat hurts my neck.
My recommendation is DO NOT BUY CAMRY.

I test drove this car a few days ago when I was deciding between it and the '08 Accord V6. A lot of people complained that the '08 Accord makes too much road noise, but when I compared the two, I didn't notice any differences in the ambient road and wind noises that filtered into the cabin (both cars had windows completely up).
Now, the suspension was a different story. Even though both were V6's, I felt that the Camry's ride was smoother over bumps in the road than the Accord. Maybe this is the reason why the Camry's acceleration is a little sluggish than the Accord. (I don't know. Sacrificing a faster "take-off" for a smoother ride ?). How this leads to the Camry's 0-60 in 6.2 secs, compared to the Accord's 6.5 secs, is beyond me. I personally felt that the Accord seemed much faster from a standstill position. Additionally, the steering on the Accord seemed to be a better match for me since I like a tighter feel. The steering on the Camry felt so loose that it seemed like the steering wheel itself was broken. Therefore, the Accord's steering felt more precise to me than the Camry's.
The 440-W JBL stock stereo system in the Camry sounded good and loud. I felt the back windows shaking when I cranked up the volume at half bass and treble. But then again, I was testing my hip-hop CD (which was, basically, all-bass). The highs weren't as pronounced as the Accord's new and improved 270-W stock premium system, but again, the bass definitely was.
As you can probably tell, I'm an audiophile who favors sound quality over sound boominess, and who favors a brisker acceleration over a firmer ride. After all these factors are figured in, plus the fact that the Accord commands a higher resale value than the Camry, I think I will go for the 2008 Honda Accord V6. Yeah, that's what I'll do....read morehide

I owned a 2003 Toyota Camry Le V6. Was in awful wreck that totalled car, but walked away from it. I really liked my 03 and was totally impressed by how I was able to walk away from accident. There was no question I was going to buy another Camry after the accident . Now I believe I made a mistake. The transmission is horrible with 1-3 second hesitation when trying to accelerate - could be very dangerous. The paint job is poor quality - hand washing car and paint has flaked off front bumper. Mine is 2007 and the advertised mpg was 31. It does no better than 28mpg (which would be fine if it were advertised that way). The styling and interior and quiet smooth ride are nice, but Toyota has really dropped the ball in overall quality and trustworthiness. There is a major chink in their armor now. My recommendation - don't buy, you will regret it. Unfortunately, my parents bought one not soon after me and now they also regret the purchase (same issues)....read morehide

This car is a totally bland driving experience. It does nothing exceptionally well. Outside, this example had poor paint quality with the bumpers being three shades darker than the rest of the car, the door sills did not line up well and inside, the dash looked like a cheap ill fitting video game console. The trim pieces butting up to the radio area had sloppy fit and did not line up with the rest of the dash. The seats had multiple areas where extra threads were showing, which surely will lead to tears. The ride was only fair and power reasonable. Gas mileage was nothing to write home about either. The trasmission was horrible. This thing never knew which gear it was supposed to be in and it, combined with a snowstorm, led to me walking a half mile uphill to get home. The car could not pull a small hill in snow because the tires continued to spin no matter how lightly you pressed the gas pedal. The transmission just did not allow the car to move forward and uphill. All I can say is I have no idea why they sell so many of these cars, they do not have the quality everyone says they do.....I think they sell strictly on former quality that is now sorely lacking....read morehide

I drove this car from Fremont CA to Seattle WA without any problem
I was keeping the speed around 80-85 MPH but stilll manage to get approx 27-28 miles per gallon fuel economy. It drove firmly and very strong. I drove through mountain region of Oregan and at one point I avoided an accident when the car front of me, abruptly came to stop to save a DOG. Not only I avoided hitting that car , I also avoided hitting the Dog with couple of fast turns. I was amazed to notice that how stable this car is from breaking to suspension.
Seats were comfortable to drive straight many hours without getting tired. I enjoyed the sound system through out. I was wishing for a blue tooth Nav system with dual temp control knob while I was driving....read morehide

I was thinking to buy a Camry, but with Consumer Report not giving the seal of approval, I had to rethink my plan. I researched the car market and came across the Mitsubishi Galant which is Japanese carmaker with 90 years in the business. It stood by its product with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty which translate to savings for a long time before I have to shell out repairs on the car and besides, by then I'll be in the car buying mode again. I plan to keep the car for quite sometime1...read morehide
