I own a 2003 Solara and I couldn't be more happier with my car. The interior has a very sophisticated look and I always get compliments on the styling. I almost bought a Honda Accord coupe but I'm so happy I went with the Solara instead. This car is solid--like a tank-- in any kind of weather. I've driven in snow, on icy roads and through gale-force winds and it handles well. My 6'4 brother and his 6'4 wife fit comfortably in the back seats and my ride is the car-of-choice for road trips. In 3 1/2 years I've put 85 k on it and the dealership says its in great condition....read morehide

ride a bit stiff, h2o comes in when door opens if top is wet, low gear a bit underpowered

We have only owned it for 3 months, but it is the most fun and niceset car we have had and we have usually bought new cars with xl or sle pactages. I am totally surprised by the 33 h/w mpg @ 60 mph. Hopefully it will do even better on a long drive. Disappointed they ended the model.

Side molding is bad- When it rains or snows; water runs into the auto when you open the door.

Side floor panels under the drivers & pasengers doors come off. Major problem. Also problems with tailpipe while driving in country roads. Cracked in middle way while other cars had no problem with the same terraine.

MINE IS A 2000 SOLARA WITH 206,000 MILES. THATS RIGHT! ONLY CHANGED THE TIMING BELT. SEATS ARE COMFY...HAVE SLEPT IN THIS CAR. MPG IS 30 OVERALL. LOVES AND HUGS THE ROAD. 2006 Great on hwy mpg, blast to drive in Manual slap shift.

A little understeer but better than non-perf US cars same size. Very easy to drive.

My 2006, practically identical. Installed K&N filter when new and gained 1.5 mpg, torque and HP. Gets 31 mpg on measured hwy. @ 60-70mph, 24+ ampg ALL the time. Needs passenger side 6-way for better wifey comfort but still real nice with heated seats. Manual slap-shift better than any US rental I have driven; can get all 5-gears in either direction, xcpt for shift limits. Got 40K from original BFG rubber, upgraded to perf-BFG and handles like new+. Can't wait to keep mine for 20 years when the price comes back up, I might consider selling it then. 52K and still tight and pretty....read morehide
