ours is an 07 LE with 4 cyl. we added spoiler, sunroof, and wheels and were satisfied with these options. After 32k there have been no reliability issues but black paint scratches started the first week we had the vehicle, and after two years it looks much worse than the 99 camry we had parked in the same spot for eight years. main scratches are on doors. Console looks good but is painted and can be scratched. I am 5'8" but seem too tall for the front seating position relative to visor and ceiling.
Oil filter is a little harder to access than previous 4 cyl camry we have. With snow tires it handles great in the winter. we have a few minor cuts in the seat fabric from britax car seat. Wife hit the side of our garage with the side of the front bumper, which distorted and had a lot of paint that transfered from garage to car, but when I rubbed it with mineral spirits the damage was almost invisible, including how the bumper rebounded to its original shape.
Overall we like the car and plan to keep it for another 100000 miles but feel that Toyota should have done more homework on the 07...read morehide

This is a 2002 model but I think the Camry's history is what these reviews are about. I am trying to show more than just a few months history for the Camry. We have had no further problems with the car & it now has 111,770 miles on it. This Camry now has its third set of tires (Goodyear Viva radials are what we use & they wear VERY well on Camrys).
Oh, we did have to replace the battery when the car had 99,770 miles on it.
The paint is a medium blue and is not faded (this auto sits in the sun every day).
Ride is surprisingly smooth, seats are comfortable (even on two day trips), climate control is more than comfortable, & the factory sound system will surprise you.
This camry handles very well for a sedan, and has good acceleration for a 4 cyl auto. We purchased this car for fuel economy, comfort, & reliabiliy. We did not purchase it to "outrun" every other vehicle from stoplight to stoplight (and my first new car was a 1969 "440" ROADRUINNER -- I do know what 'stoplight to stoplight' means).
We will purchase a new Camry in about 6 months. Hopefully it will be as good a car as the one we have now, and I think it will be....read morehide

I think it is a good car, I have not had any problems as of yet. It rides good, I use to drive a Cadillac Seville. (it gave me alot of problems)
I am a happy customer. (smile)

This car is dangerous to drive. Power will wane just when you need it,
as in pulling into traffic. When you start forward from a stop (such as at a STOP sign, to pull into traffic, it may hesitate and leave you vulnerable for a broadside. I am always on the defensive when driving
it and I hesitate to let anyone unfamiliar with it to get behind the wheel. I have less than 5,000 miles on it and I will probably get rid of
it (at a huge monetary loss). You cn bet my next car will NOT be a
Toyota Camry. I am 76 years old and will die soon enough, I don't
need this Camry's help....read morehide

I purchased my 2008 toyota camry xle about 6 months ago. At first I though it was a great car. But after riding for about 3 or 4 days, I noticed plastic-squeaking kind of noise whenever I touch something at the dashboard. Even when I try to adjust my a/c, it would make this annoying noise. Well this is actually understandable. But the transmission is terribly set. Whenever I try to accelerate to get onto the freeway, it wouldn't let me get to the speed I wanted in time, so it is almost dangerous to try to get onto the freeway.
The fuel economy is OK. I get about 25mpg, city and highway combined. But not really good considering that it doesn't even have that much power.
I'm fixing to sell this to a used car dealership soon and buy another sedan this size. I found Honda Accord to be much better, and surprisingly, Hyundai Sonata was also a considerable car. If you are looking into buying this, think again. I recommend Accord and Sonata over this overpriced car....read morehide

the camry 2008 4 cyl, is a nice reliable car, However, my experience with it tells that it has a newere style of shape which is generally nice, the A/c is nice. the fuel economy is moderate.
the finish of some parts esp of the interior is poor especially the console area. early and with atmost care some clear noise come from the console, even the outlets of the A/C wish make plastic noise while increasing the ventilation fan speed.
Honestly, I advice everyone looking for this category of car to conisder the Honda accord which has non of these bad assembly problems....read morehide

I recently purchased a new 2008 Camry. Three mos. after I bought it I was in a horrible car crash. The car was toteled but my family and I walked away with minor bruises and a stiff neck. The police officer was so amazed at the safety that he accually commented that the Camry was going to be his next purchase!...read morehide

An excellent car that seems to improve over time. We've owned Camrys since way back in the 80's when they were cramped and small. The current Camry is borderline luxury and the ride is greatly improved from our 97' Camry. This is a good buy for families with kids.

I owned a 03 Camry LE, the 08 seems to have more interior room, less road noise, over the 03 the handling is much improved. I am averaging 28mpg in the city, have not taken it on a trip yet to see what it does on the highway. We got the leather with the JBL sound system we love this car and would suggest anyone looking buy this over the Honda or Nissan. I drove all 3....read morehide

I have been buying forigen cars for many years now. I did that because I feel that the Big Three offered no appealing cars. Well I made a mistake I ordered a black 2008 XLE Camry site un-seen. It came in and I have been extremely under impressed. My dealer assured me the 4cylinder would be enough power for me and my needs. In my 2006 Accord EX-L it certainly was not so the case in the Camry. The interior is very disappointing for a Toyota, just read the Car and Driver comparison test with the eight cars. It came in 7th only beating the ugly new Sebring if you don't take my word for it. The new Saturn Aura beat it! Toyota is slipping and I think despite a Toyota biased media GM and Honda will reap the beneifits! I have owned my car for 3 weeks and have been back to the dealer 3 times for problems with quality and the electrical system. This is my last Toyota. I am right now in the process of getting a new 2008 G6 GT to replace it. Becareful what you wish for, just because a car is a best seller doesn't mean its the best car!...read morehide
