Perhaps the crewmax body is too heavy for the 4.7 engine. However lately, with the addition of undercover for the bed , my mileage average 16 mpg in town, and 18-19 mpg hyway. The looks and style is very appealing. Oh, by the way use only 100% gas . It's makes a difference. Using alcohol blended gas will plummet your gas mileage.
I've been an owner for 12 months. In restropect , consider buying the 5.7 first....read morehide

I have had my tundra for 9 months now. Even with the 4.7 v8 It pulls my 3500 lb tractor easily. My friends enjoy riding in it and often call it the pimp mobile. The interior is very spacious. My wife gets jealous that it is more comfortable than her highlander limited. The tundra grade had all the usual ammenities like cruise, rear air, 4 12volt outlets, 14 cupholders, 2 glovesboxes, underseat storage, and seperate climate zones. If you take adavntages of rebates you can get the crewmax 4.7L v8 with many upgrades for 22 thousand. It just seems too good to be true....read morehide

This is a great vehicle, I have own Ford F150, Chev Avalanche and Hummer SUT. traded 07 Hummer on this, I love it the interior space is excellent, Towing is 10,800 (4x2). Gas milage is 18-20 on road and 15+ in town. I like the fact that Toyota has accessories you can purchase with full factory warranty. This by far is my favorite. My 07 Corvette Z06 sits in garage....read morehide

Rides like a Lexus 470 without the price go figure...Got all the bells and whistles except DVD and GPS that would have made it perfect.

great value, great looks, great truck. Mine is my work truck, and hauled my 8000lb camper trailer from California to South Dakota and back. Not one problem now for 72,000 miles.

The deal is that you don't get much for the SR5 package. EVERYTHING I wanted was an upgrade that you pay DEARLY for. VERY STRANGE rpm range especially from stop and go traffic. Too much hesitation and then you have to be careful no to run into the car in front of you. Bed doesn't seem like its bolted down over ruff roads. Have to disassemble the truck to change cartidge oil filter. Silver interior finish is cheesy and scratches to black. INFO. menu doesn't give you and built in compass...read morehide

This is the first Tundra I have purchased. I will not consider another truck due to my love of this truck. The interior room is unbelievable as well as the power generate by the 4.7 L. I've heard comments thats it just a souped up Dodge Ram 1500 but I cant see it. If it came to the wife or the truck, I would be single. Great purchase, she now wants one of here own, just with more options. Gas mileage was poor but with the addition of a K&N filter, and some additional tuning at a local shop, averaging around 16 mpg, but the lead foot keeps the MPG down, but its worth it. Redlining causes the engine to hop but that better than blowing the engine or throwing a rod. You cant go wrong with a Tundra....read morehide

This truck stood well above the competition including performance, comfort, tow ability. Just test drive the Dodge, Ford, GM, Nissan and then the Tundra. The truck sells itself. Highly recommended!

Rides is gread and so is handling. I tow a 25 ft travel trailer and have no problems. Even towes well in cruse control. Breakes stop you great. Over all it out tows and perform the F150 i traided in. Love the 6 speed trans with sequential shift great feture. So far with 1700 mi am averageing about 7,5 to 8.0 mpg towing think it should do better when it get broken in get around 18 not towing. So far I think its a great truck get lots of complements on it from the women....read morehide

After 2400 miles this truck it drives better than my 2000 limited model. The suspension is much better than the previous model. It has plenty of room and everything I need. The MP3 CD player and input is great, no problems to report. There is plenty of room on the inside, more than it's competitors, I checked them all out and none compared. I kept my 2000 for 9 years and never had a problem, hope this one has the same outlook. I drove the F150 and didn't like the lack of power on the 4 liter, the 5.7 liter was better but the gas mileage was terrible. I would recommend this truck to anyone in the market looking for a daily reliable driver....read morehide
