I love my Toyata 4x2 with the 5.7 engine .It has pleanty of power. It has a lot of room inside. I traded a 06 toyota 4x4 for this. I did not need the 4x4 plus I think I will get better gas mileage. My wife drives lexus rx 350 but we always drive my Truck. I like all of Toyota products they are built to last END OF STORY go buy one....read morehide

this is a 2007 model--power brake booster replaced at 16,000 miles, truck surges forward,as soon as you let off the brake it feels that you have been rear ended, dealership says to live with problem, they have replaced many transmissions and driveshafts, that they all ride make different noises, emergency brake has to be on the floor to work, have problem trying to get the trans out of park to drive without banging, and i traded in a 155,000 mile frontier with no problems to this,im disappointed ,i wanted this since seeing it opening raceday in daytona o7...read morehide

I love everything about this truck, EXCEPT.... I HATE the suspension - I took it in to the service department, and they told me everyone has a huge problem with it. That she gets at least one person a week complain. It is so bad, I'm actually thinking about trading it in and it only has 4,000 miles on it. It should have 15,000 miles, but it's so innoying to drive - I don't drive it unless neccessary.
If your going to buy this truck take it on a 10 mile freeway test drive and see if you still like it.
It's unfortunate because everything else about this truck is great, cheap, good gas milleage, lots of room....read morehide

Seats arn't bad, but not as good as my dodge. Gas mileage is better than my dodge and better than the ford that i evacuated a hurricane with from new orleans. This truck is surperior to my dodge, better than the chevy I drive at work. I don't feel any guilt about buying this truck as I stole it (dodge, chey, or nissan wouldn't get off the price). I bought it 6 months ago and have no regrets....read morehide

Great value even at year end when big 3 offering incentives to buy that exceed Toyota. Truck out performs every truck I looked and/or drove. Toyota workmanship second to none on all aspects of design and construction. Feels like a real truck

This is a big truck, huge comfort and plush ride. Getting 19 with the V6, I'm sure the 5.7L has a ton more power but the 6 runs very well and is not underpowered. Drove a 4.6L ford and it was not even close to the same power feel as this truck. I'm certain the low gearing explains some of that but then if I got the same gearing in the ford I would assume 15mpg. Rebates and dealer excitement to move a truck made the deal too good to pass up. Just read in USA today that the Texas plant where Tundra is made went idle this month BUT- they are retaining all workers to do training and updates to the assemmbly process. Feel proud to know the Tundra is made by a company that does not lay off the workforce in a downturn....read morehide

This truck has a lot of power. Its engine and transmission are class leaders. The interior is comfortable with a reasonably smooth ride and an extremely quiet interior. The interior reflects a high degree of quality. The fuel economy is not as good as advertised with my truck getting 12 ½ to 13 mpg in the city and about 18 mpg on the highway. The highway mileage is very respectable for a truck that weights about 5000 pounds but I wish the city numbers would come up a little. However, this is a 5.7 litter engine, and these numbers are is very respectable. When I tow my ATVs on a trailer, I get a reasonable 11 or 12 mpg. My truck is equipped with the long bed and I have to admit it is big with all kinds of room for what ever you want to haul. So far, the bed has severed me well but the plastic liner comes lose at the top and separates from the top piece from time to time.
There are two things about this truck that annoy me. The truck likes to shift down to first gear at speeds of less than 10 mph. This of course helps the truck to achieve maximum acceleration but it is a rough down shift in normal driving conditions that in my mind is not necessary. This truck has a lot of torque so down shifting at lower speeds is simply not necessary.
The other problem is a weak tailgate that is simply not strong enough to endure the day-to-day responsibilities of a normal truck. My truck tailgate crumpled on the top left and right sides when I loaded my ATVâs with a loading ramp. Toyota is aware of this problem and has already offered to repair my tailgate. However, I would prefer to wait until they come out with a stronger reinforced tailgate since I am sure that another tailgate would crumple again under the same conditions....read morehide

This is my dream vehicle. I have wanted a truck for approximately 12 years now. Finally, I have achieved my dream of purchasing a brand new, '08 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4x2 truck. I absolutely love my Tundra! It handles like a car and I love the reliability record of Toyota products. I bought the truck for a great price also. I am a very satisfied customer....read morehide
