I HAVE OWNED TWO HARLEY DAVIDSON TRUCKS ONE A SUPERCHARGED VERSION AND THE SECOND A 2007 5.4 LITER AND THIS 5.7 WOULD LEAVE THEM BOTH IN THE DUST. WITH THE ADDED BORLA EXHAUST THE COMPLETE PACKAGE IS ROUNDED OUT. THE GAS MILEAGE IS COMPARATIVE FOR A FULL SIZED TRUCK 16 MPG SO NO COMPLAINTS THERE. I ADDED A HARD TOP TONNEAU TO ROUND OFF THE LOOK. I PURCHASED THE LIMITED DOUBLE CAB WHICH GIVES ADEQUATE ADDITIONAL ROOM FOR PASSENGERS WHILE STILL MAINTAINING GOOD EYE APPEAL. THIS TRUCK SCRATCHES ALL OF MY ITCHES....read morehide

I thought this truck was durable...boy was i wrong! I bought an 08 Tundra for work (construction builder) and within 6 months i had to have 2 new tires, realignment once, replaced the rear suspense, and to top it all off i had a faulty camshafts as well as a cracking tailgate. Now you tell me if thats durable!!! I am now driving an 08 Nissan Titan and love it!! I have had it for 2 months and nothing has go wrong with it...I know i havent had it as long! There are alot of similar things between the tundra and the titan. They both are very smooth, and have good engine power. Plus the Titan is lower priced. If i were you, i would buy a Nissan Titan over a Toyota Tundra!!! Just my piece of advice for you though......read morehide

Overall this truck is fairly nice, 5000 miles on this unit,
but not quite enough 'umph' on highway to prevent
frequent downshifting of A/T for slight hills and headwind, this can be aggravating, and does not help with mileage. The truck profile is sits high too, which is also another factor, my average since raising tires to 42psi ia now 16.2, before the adjustment at 30psi. --
13.8 mpg. -- my 05 Silverado 5.3 averaged 17.8 mpg!
The rear headrest also limits rearview. along with the depth perception for the rounded/short frontend for determing how close you are to a post or
another vehicle in parking spaces, have ding on my bumper already from mis-judgement of distance to
steel/concrete bumper post.
For those who do not know, Toyota has a higher Ins. symbol rating in most states, than GM, Ford, and Dodge, so it will cost more to insure.
Overall though, I will ride on the Toyota name for retaining value, along with dependability/reliability
in the end.
PS: this truck likes high rpm's, and mainly highway miles are on this unit to date....read morehide

Geat power, Great looks, Super comfort! This truck leaves Ford, Chevy and Dodge scratching their heads. Toyota has hit another home run! In 2007 Toyota not only entered the full sized truck market, they set the mark EVERYONE is shooting for!

For the money this is the best big truck on the market period. Its towing "10,800lbs" is all the avg and not so avg truck owner will ever need. It has a very nice equipment package "SR5", all the needed bells and whistles are there. Very user friendly cabin. There are a few things inside that need to be addressed, one the guage display is some what hard to see at a glance, I perfer all things being together on one plate, and the cigarette lighter needs to be lit when the head lights are on. It avg 18mpg while some of the guys i work with avg 15-16mpg with their Dodges and Chevys, "and they all have less power and torque!"....read morehide

This Toyota Tundra is America's dream come true. It is simply the best! It is very smooth and very dependable. I am so not a Ford or Chevy person, but if you want class, sophistication, safety features and reliability, than this truck is aim to please! Dont take this truck for granted like the others. But I am a woman and we just love to have power and control. I think it is great that Toyota has created such a vibrant and fresh new look and attitude with what they have to offer. I am very proud to call myself a new Toyota Tundra owner.
God Bless America and God Bless Texas!!!
Peace Out,
Austin, Texas...read morehide

I like the fact that it sits up very high for a 4x2. It has the power that i need to pull my trailer.

I had been looking a several trucks including the Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram and I feel I made the best choice. First the truck has a presence about it....its big and dominates the view. Although the truck is obviously more bouncy than a car, it's a smooth ride and comfortable and it turns on a dime. The only negative thing I can say is it's a gas guzzler....15.4 miles to the gallon. But for a truck that big, its expected. Enjoy yours ASAP!!!...read morehide
