I have the 4x2 dbl cab 4.0L model! I have no complaints with this truck! I rides smooth, and has an engine brake if you ride the brakes downhill! The Tundra comes with a 3-5 gallon overflow so that you can not top off the gas tank! I average anywhere between 400-420 miles per tank! On average 415. That figured in with an roughly maximum fill up of 23 gallons, averaging approximately 18mpg! I noticed that after the first oil change, the mpg decreased. I asked the Toyota service dept. what was going on. They recommended that I move to synthetic 0-30 weight oil. This helped quite a bit! I added a 2.5' lift to the front end to level it off! This was a simple spacer that mounts on top of the front struts! Drastically improved the looks!...read morehide

I have owned a 2007 Tunda Reg Cab for about a year now. I traded in a 2006 Tacoma to get my Tundra, and I am so happy I did. The Tacoma was nice. But, I really needed a full size truck to fit my full size body.

First of all, this truck makes me feel small when standing next to it and thats not easy to do. It just looks tough when you look at it. When you get in it is very spacious. The radio seems very far away. But, you get used to that. It comes with a bench seat, but the center folds down so you have a really nice arm rest console with a couple compartments and cup holders. Underneath the center seat is a small compartment for hidden storage with an extra power plug. Even behind the seats in the regular cab there is plenty of room for storage. There are 2 glove boxes for even more storage and plenty of leg room and head room for almost anyone. Even with 4.0 6 cyl. which is the smallest engine that is available with the new Tundra. It still has great pick up speed. I have not had any problems with not having enough power to pass someone. Even loaded up and driving halfway across the country it was smooth and powerful all the way.

I have not had any problems at all with this truck except for having to have the radio replaced because of a manufacturer problem and that didnt cost me anything except about an hour waiting for them to change it out. Oh, one thing you will want to remember if you buy a Tundra. It is big and the doors open really wide. So, be cautious of other vehicles in the parking lots. Because these doors could cause a good dent or scratch.

Listen, even with gas prices the way they are I am averaging 19-20 mpg in this truck. Trust me, I would rather get 40+ mpg like a Prius. But, that thing is ugly and I barely fit into it. I will sacrfice a little gas money for overall comfort anyday....read morehide

I have owned a 2007 Toyota Tundra Reg Cab Longbed 6 cyl. (4.0L) since last September. Even with the rising gas prices, I consistently average 18 to 19 mpg to and from work (surface street and freeway).

Other good news is that for the 15k miles already on the truck, nothing has gone wrong, so I have to rate this truck high on reliability.

With ABS, traction control, stability control, and six airbags standard on the Tundra, this vehicle is a must for a pickup....read morehide

I recently had to put my 2000 Tundra in the shop. Nothing major, just some routine repairs. I am very satifisied with my Tundra and plan on keeping it. I needed to rent an auto for a day or two while the repairs were made. Enterprise let me have a 2008 Tundra for the same price as a car, so I went for it. I believe it was love at fist drive!
Now this was a four dour model with standard bed but it did have some nice options. Right off the size difference is fantastic. I like the feeling of sitting up higher and having more room through out the truck. I have never drove a truck this big before and loved it. This truck also came with the large V8 with the automatic trasnmission.
I amount of power coming out from under the hood to me was like driving a sports car. More power then I have ever had before contected with a transmission that shifted smooth and positive. Also loved the sound when I took off with the pedal pressed deep into the floor.
As for options, everything you could ever need or want and all with in an easy reach.
Over all I would have to say this is the best truck ever built....read morehide
