This is the best car I've ever owned. It's a great value, gets great gas mileage, and does surprisingly well in Alaska snow. I love how fast it warms up too! It's a lot bigger on the inside than the outside. When I lay the back seats down I can fit more groceries in there than I can in the back of our van!...read morehide

Brakes don't always catch when applied with some force, very light in high winds esp. on the highway

I bought my Yaris in April 08. I love this car as a first "new" car. The price is right and the car handles well. The headlights are a bit difficult to see with at night in a good rain. Doesn't take too much to fill the tank and its just big enough to say you have some trunk space unlike those Smart cars. I would seriously suggest purchasing this car, for new or old drivers....read morehide

The side windows do not deforst well. The gas miliage is about 30-41 and over all price of this car is good. It is a little bit more of a louder ride then most cars but over all I really am happy with my car.

Pros

Gas mileage is wonderful. I average 38 in combined driving. On hwy trips have seen as high as 46.

I have owned this car since July of this year. I now have 6,000 miles on and feel I can write a real review. This is my first toyota and I'm impressed. If this experience holds up across the time I will own mly Yaris, I'll look to toyota when it needs to be replaced. I paid 15k for this car, so compared to other vehicles it was inexpensive. The interior/ride are comfortable. The performance is acceptable. As others have said, the space on the inside and truck is amazing for a small car. What is also amazing is the fuel economy. The amount of fuel cost savings, compared to my last vehicle (Ford Ranger 4x4 @ 18mpg), covers much of the monthly loan payment. When the car si paid for, will be way ahead of the game and not be placing $'s into Middle Eastern hands. Smoth of drive into city. Very good.

Cons

On Highway it becomes a little hard to control after 70 miles. The radio stereo is too weak.

In general it's a very good car. The space inside is awesome! I guess it is better than Corolla.The engines still might sound powerfull for who looks an economic car.

need arm rest!!

I thought this car was a smoother ride than corrolla. The room inside was very surprising. I drive 60 miles a day 5 days a week and only have to fill up just under every 2 weeks. The advertised mpg was underestimated. I would really like an arm rest but I will survive.

Pros

Great fuel economy, surprisingly roomy, I can parallel park, lots of room in the garage.

ABS is not standard...you have to upgrade to get it.

This is a great little car! I live in the heart of the snowbelt in Ohio and I was able to hold my own on the snowy roads. It comfortably fits 5 people, and I can get 39 miles per gallon on the highway when I drive the speed limit. The worst mileage I have got with this car is 36 mpg. This is an awesome car when you can't afford a hybrid. You just have to ignore the comments concerning clown car and mr. bean (I have the 3dr hatchback). It is a little unusual looking, but I get a lot of comments from strangers about it. I would highly recommend this car...I absolutely love it....read morehide

Spacious compartment for a small car, will hold a lot of stuff. Great price and gas mileage. Zippy in a manual transmission and handling in traffic is good. Center dashboard takes some getting used to. Munual transmission model has no tach and that is a bit annoying. There is some road noise from the rear of the vehicle. Nice price and nice looks. the ride is good for a small car. handles like a tight little sports model

this car has plenty of room to stretch out love the center console very easy to read don't have to look through the steering wheel. The only complaint I have is wind, the little thing definitely doesn't like the wind cross winds especially, but when you get used to that. all is good with this vehicle. I needed a gas miser and I definitely got one I am 100% satisfied with this car, I would recommend it to anyone needing a gas sipper. I'm now sold on Toyota's I might try the corolla next time....read morehide

only one, not real powerful, hills mainly.

i realy like this car, much more room than you think, no power seats and you will need to tweek the seats, to find the comfort zone. all kinds of compartments to store things. cup holders etc... the gas miliage is incredible. 600 miles on a tank of gas, being just a 4 cylinder engine, dont expect miracles. but at cruising speeds it does well....read morehide
