Have to say this car is good on gas. However its the ugliest weird looking car out there. I mean the lift back, hatch back kind. I got me a toyota yaris but had to get rid of it in 2 years. Just too weird to have the drivers console in middle. It's slow on breaking and very nerdy looking vehicle. I am so happy I got rid of it....read morehide

I love this little baby car... fun to drive... peppy... gets me where I need to go. I am counting on it doing well for several years and then will be able to pass on an excellent used toyota to the next driver! I;m just being careful not to water it because I don't know what it will be when it grows up!...read morehide

I love this car. I drive atleast 60 miles a day sometimes 100+ and this car keeps those miles fun. I have no real complaints about it, other than cruise would be nice to have. my friends love it too, they always want to drive it. but please realize this is not a luxury or sports car. it is a very basic car with no frills. it handles well on the freeway and have no problem getting up to speed, or passing other cars. but your not gonna win any races so save the gas and don't try. accelerates better if you don't mash the pedal to the floor. the fronts seats are plenty roomy even for my 6 foot friends. the back seats are decent for a car its size just never fun to get out of, hence the reason for wishing for the 5 door. i have had it 7 months now no issues with it once so ever. i love it. if you want a good dependable inexpensive car get the Yaris, I highly doubt you will regret it....read morehide

This is the best car I've ever owned. It's a great value, gets great gas mileage, and does surprisingly well in Alaska snow. I love how fast it warms up too! It's a lot bigger on the inside than the outside. When I lay the back seats down I can fit more groceries in there than I can in the back of our van!...read morehide

This is a great little car! I live in the heart of the snowbelt in Ohio and I was able to hold my own on the snowy roads. It comfortably fits 5 people, and I can get 39 miles per gallon on the highway when I drive the speed limit. The worst mileage I have got with this car is 36 mpg. This is an awesome car when you can't afford a hybrid. You just have to ignore the comments concerning clown car and mr. bean (I have the 3dr hatchback). It is a little unusual looking, but I get a lot of comments from strangers about it. I would highly recommend this car...I absolutely love it....read morehide

I love this little car. It is very peppy and is surprisingly roomy in the interior (I am 6ft). The fuel economy is great...and you can park just about anywhere. My back seats can move forward or fold down depending on how much room I need for loading stuff. Like others have said, the center dash takes some time to get used to, but I don't mind it all that much. Overall, great car!...read morehide

This a good little car for $14,000. Since I alone drive the car there was no need to the get the sedan. It is not very fast (get the manual), and cramped interior. The interior quality is not very good, mainly black plastic and aluminium plastic trim. Just the engine/suspension vibration at highway speeds bothers me. My cousin had to get her Scion xB front suspension re-welded from a factory defect (when stopping/slowing down you could hear a clunk). It does look alright and is a breeze to park. Gas mileage matches window sticker. I feel like a dwarf/more like a smurff (no offense to the little folks) compared to all the macho truck morons that drive in the city.
Overall, I should have kept my Mazda 3 5-door it was paid off. Doh!...read morehide

Great price for a new car with Toyota reliability. This car needs some extra comfort features on the interior, such as standard arm rests,4-6 more inches of leg room for both front seat passengers.

With rising cost of gasoline, it seemed prudent to trade for more fuel efficency. This automobile is very small and easy to handle. The gas mileage is great and the price we paid was really a bargain!

I traded in my Ford Excursion for this little car. No more SUV for me. I never even considered a car this small or cheap, until the salesman prompted me to test drive it. He was desparate to keep me from leaving the dealership empty handed. It worked! I'm 6'2" and easily slipped in the drivers seat. After driving my monster SUV for so long, I found this car to be nimble and quick. It is a little loud on the freeway and the auto transmission seems to need one more gear to run at top performance at higher speeds. I slows down pretty fast when you let off the gas pedel at 65 mph. Otherwise it's fun to drive and you will get lots of attention and questions from strangers. The one thing that really surprised me is how it handles in Houston's heavy interstates in the rain. It was pouring down the day I bought it and I was scared to death to get on the interstate, but had no choice. The lil' Yaris stayed steady the whole time, even with tractor trailers hualing past me. Most of all... gas mileage!!! I'm averaging 40 mpg, mostly interstate. That's 4 times better than my Excursion with its guzzling V10 engine. If this car were a woman, I'd marry her!!!...read morehide
