The S60 has been such a wonderful car. It just looks so beautiful and Scandinavian, not flashy like other cars, but beautiful in its own right. The curves and the simple yet somehow 'prideful' grill. On the inside the seats were voted the most comfortable in any car, and they certaintly are. The engine is strong and will pull like a train till the wheels fly off. Although the DSTC (dynamic stability and traction control) and cut alot of power in winter driving. Ex. going up a hill and the wheels slip the car will cut almost all power bringing you to a crawl, but you will get the car up the hill safely, just slowly. you can turn this off but it turns on everytime the car starts. The DSTC is very helpful and may have saved my life. I was taking a corner to fast on a sleety road. I could feel the car losing grip then i heared the ABS and the traction control both slowing me down without skidding me out while they desperatly searched for any traction. I got around the corner fine, and if i hadnt had DSTC i may have been wrapped around a tree. There can be nothing but praises for this car. Its a wonderful car....read morehide

I would recommend this car to anyone. It's a smooth ride and has the pick up you need when you need it. Extremely happy with my purchase.

This is a great car. It is WICKED comfortable. Rides very nice. A little slow off the line, but great pickup once the turbo kicks in. Controls are easy to reach and nicely placed. I get a lot of compliments on the looks, HOT & SEXY. The cons of this car are very minor compared to what you get for the price. The stereo needs work, doesn't sound bad, but needs upgrading. No place to put your change if you put drinks in your cup holders, only 2 total 12v power supplies. Don't plan to put anyone in the backseat unless everyone in the car is 5'2". When the front seats go all the way back they almost touch the rear seat. I also wish the nav system had something similiar to MSN Direct or other internet updates and services.

I put the Volvo bluetooth in the car and definitely recommend. Very easy to use. I also put the Volvo roof rack on the car. Fits nicely and compliments the car. But had to put a THULE fairing on it because of the whistling....read morehide

lousy backseat legroom, audio controls are dials, weird, also very pricey

It comes with a lot standard, dynamic stability control, power sliding glass sunroof/moonroof, tiger of and engine, smokes a Camry V6.

I have 2001 of it. its really nice car. I like it. the engine transfer enough power when you need it but when you derive slowly its so calm and smooth

backseat area is pretty cramped,the radio could use a lot work,I dont like the way scans.

The car is absolutely amazing Ive got the 2007 S60, I love this car, it looks great and the driving is amazing and the smoothness and the pickup is great.
Two complaints Ive got is the radio and the headlights.
The radio if you are a small town like I am you have to manual scan to get a good radio station.
The headlight should be able to turn off completely,the mid light button if you put it on this setting will not ding when you cut the engine off, needs some work on this problem.

Cons

Brakes need to be upgraded to drilled rotors or power slot. The car is too fast with factory brakes.

We bought a 2003 in 2005. The only modification on this car has been a K&N drop in filter. WOW! You can literaly hear the whinding of the turbo. I've driven this car to Vegas, Phoenix and BullHead. Extremely HOT! The car never flinched. The key to protecting your turbo is too allow for long cooling periods before turning off the engine. Allow the turbine to cool!
Secondly, I change the oi every 3,000 miles and not the 7,500 suggested by Volvo.?

There is ONLY two 1,000,000.00 mile cars in the world: VOLVO and Mercedes-Benz...I had both, but the only one I drive today it is VOLVO...Better quality, options, price, durability, less defects or troubles and less visits at the mecanics (I only own 2006 S 60 model)...and my 2007 Volvo it is the second one that I've owned...Never had any problems with my previous Volvo S 60...Very good improvement in between Volvo 2006 and Volvo 2007 series... 99 % disappointment with every brand new Mercedes-Benz that I owned...and I had four of them......read morehide

Fuel meter sometimes doesn't work

The Volvo S60 2.5T was my first car and I love it. The features inside the car are great, especially the "W" mode, which is for wet conditions such as snow or rain.

Incredible Haldex AWD, Good brakes, Good fuel economy

It makes you feel you're going too slow because of the high comfort level

If you want to buy a car that has excellent reliability and incredible performance with low fuel consumption, this is the correct choice.

It has the haldex system that checks every wheel individually 500 times in a second and adjusts the best wheels to send the engine power.

For example, at the starting off the line the power distribution is 30% to the front wheels and 70% to the rear wheels in order to keep the level and traction optimal. So, you can go sideways at the start....read morehide
